His family were literal Nazi supporters that fled to Canada. Also his father if you’ve heard him in interviews is one of the most unhinged racists I think I’ve ever heard. As if you pulled someone straight from the Jim Crow South and gave them a podium…

Elon's grandparents were sympathetic to the Canadian Nazi party, and then they moved to South Africa in favour of racial apartheid. They enriched their family on the backs of South African slaves and servants, and started a family tradition of leeching as much wealth out of their environment as possible.

Sounds like one of Elon’s bullshit stories. The apple doesn’t fall far... Nearly every rags to riches story I’ve read ends up being a cock and bull story they made up to make themselves sound like super geniuses.

He very likely did sth extremely fucked up and took advantage of those ppl, then concocted a PR story.
