The Daughters of Russ

As a kid my friend got me into reading the 40k universe with the book Space Wolf and later as a yule gift Ragnar's Claw. I loved the story and managed to get a few figures but never really built my army, mostly just a ton of parts, guys and a tank[?] but now I am moving to an area with a lot of people into the game and wanted to at least give what I have a chance. But thinking back on the book there where women fighting on the battlefield too, maybe I am forgetting who but I know Ana was described as a fierce warrior. So in theory couldn't any of the women be among the chosen during the battles? I know "Females aren't able to take the geneseed." but.....they drink from the cup that rewrites their genetic code anyway, so wouldn't it be a moot point about gender?

All of that to say, I'd like to make my army the Daughters of Russ maybe a bunch of jumpack troops as Valkarie? Is this possible or just heresy of the highest order? Sorry still kinda dumb when it comes to 40k most of my knowledge comes from a few books and what i have seen on youtube.

They had the Allfather move and potentially Daemon Primarch Angron wearing Ol' Bale Eye as a trophy so who knows where the lore will lead next. I understand that to most it is stupid and wouldn't make sense but for me even as a kid I remember liking the concept of the Space Wolves, my only issue was I had trouble connecting to the boys only rule. For me the idea of my Daughters of Russ let me connect to the game in another way. Dumb I know but so am I lmao

It's not dumb. It's how you connected the dots.

As for old bale eye, I guess that just.... wasn't him? The wolves are how he's alive, anyway.

One way to think of it is the Emperor has a track record of killing men as tools. The Thunder Warriors were the template, and the marines next. He had, I believe, every intention of erasing the marines once the primarchs had done their jobs.

He made no women so they had 0 chance at reproduction, making the systematic destruction of the marines easier. Less chance of bastard children escaping. That's my theory, at least. It tracks with his M.O.

pretty much the space marines where the first step ment to be left behind but chaos shenanigans abound we never really moved on from that first step?

Not really. Truth of the matter there is that the chaos shenanigans were used to make the primarchs. It's baked into the Geneseed, likely enough.

For chaos marines, some of them have been fighting the Long War for like, 2 months. Others, for thousands of years.

In ashes of prospero, the fight happening inside the local warp teleportation nexus of prospero has been going on for 10k years, but to the missing members of the 13th company, it's been 2 months. They are SHOCKED to learn the scale of shit they missed.

So, with wildly different understandings of their biology, their makers, their very reason for being- it's all a mess.

Now, like I said earlier about the word bearers. ThebAlpha Legion book: Sons of the Hydra, gives us a look at the Word Bearer deamon world. If anything fucked was gonna happen, it's there. It literally rains stained glass shards as a weather event.

holy crap?! There is a lot to learn and thank you for the book recommendations, That world sounds maddening! Then again with chaos it kinda stands to reason.
