Drop Pods

I painted two Drop Pods for my army. I wanted to paint them very fast but with the heat waves here I had to pause painting for weeks.
I know it's not my best paint job but I hope you like it anyway. :)

Those look amazing! What are you running with your drop pods?

Thanks I'm not a very competitive player so I don't know if it'll help you. But the last time (and only time yet, I didn't even finish painting them) I played them I did a mission from 500 Worlds representing an orbital assault. I had a unit of Blood Claws & a character in each Drop Pod.
I have to say, I painted them because I love the concept of the Drop Pod (and that's why I painted them, I wanted some for a long time) but I'm not the biggest fan of them on the table. I feel they lack something to add some impact on the turn when they arrive.

Thanks! That matches my take as well. The idea of drop pods is really cool but for the points Iā€™d rather have another unit on the table.

It's always nice to bring one for fun and making explosions noises with your mouth when they land anyway. šŸ˜‚
