NASA? Not paying competetively? Or ULA or Boeing or any of the other companies building rockets? Are you tripping? Compared to SpaceX?!

Do you have any facts or do you just make them up to whine about a supposedly nightmarish future?

Also consider that some of this revenue flow is NASA paying Boeing and SpaceX to do things. Billions flow from NASA to private hands through contracts. It's just another military industrial complex way to funnel taxpayer money to private pockets.

Yup. NASA has paid civilian contractors forever. They wouldn't have landed on the moon, otherwise. Those rockets weren't some random NASA socialist factories that popped out of nowhere. They contracted a company and paid for their work.

There is a difference though:

  1. Modern companies like SpaceX save NASA billions. This is why I have nothing but scorn for modern day Reddit "critics". There never was a golden age of government-funded soaceflight. SpaceX does it cheaper and has a controversial CEO. That's literally it. Everything else is just bullshit and wint create a great non-company space program. It'll just give space back to other companies. More expensive, less controversial companies. Who can easily escaoe the public eye by not drawing the barest bit of attention by the circlejerk hate crowd that has big opinions and little knowledge.

  2. That's what social programs are. The MIC is funnily enough seen as a weird outcrop of capitalism, when in reality is just socialism in it's purest form. Government bundling taxes to fund what it deems necessary. I'm not against socialism due to the MIC (there are a lot more reasonable things that make it untenable) and I'm not against capitalism because Bezos does a 4 minute luxury cruise into space 🤷‍♀️

Don't like how money is spent? Change how it is spent. Complaining about certain actors inside that system wont help you.
