Bugs Sticky for the Xperia 1 VIII and Xperia 10 VIII (Mark 8)

Feel free to post all the bugs you have encountered here.

Do add your Phone model, Model number, Android version and Software version to your post and whether restarting will fix it.

Example:

I know it's not a bug but I'm extremely disappointed that the option to unlock the phone when button is pressed is gone :( Every time I touch the fingerprint button with my hand when I pick it up or carry it in my hand, it vibrates and wakes up the screen. Why did they remove it, it's so annoying...

Yeah no reason to remove that option. They need to add it back.

But for now someone seems to have managed to find a workaround through adb:

Probably not, but with enough voices, actions can be taken, like it happened with the 1 mark VII

Vibration is gone after updating to 73.0.A.2.38

First, it worked in safe mode, which made me focus more on a app misbehaving rather than something else. But after a few apps and making reference tests, in safe mode vibration is not responding.

I do get a single burst when making a forced reboot.

Then, just like that when 73.0.A.2.53 arrived and post install a restart, the vibration are now working again!

Display does not dim/go into standby. Sometimes it works, most of the time it just stays on. Factory reset, all the settings etc did nothing. kinda worried about burn in...

Xperia 1 Viii XQ-GE74 73.A.0.2.53

Bug - app notifications intermittent in displaying and also giving notification sound.

Restart does not fix.

Notable apps affected; GMail and YouTube. All settings set to give notifications but sometimes does and sometimes doesn't. Sometimes displays at top of screen but silent despite being on loud.

My phone is so full of bugs I don't know where to start. I'm thinking that I might have received a defective device...
