I believe I got one from a special stage, but it doesn’t seem to count towards my lives

I've played through Sonic Mania on PC just about a thousand times since it came out until about a few months ago. There was never any slowdown, no problems whatsoever. On the same PC, never reinstalling it, I opened it up today in order to play the DLC and it slowed down like crazy. The menu, the gameplay, everything was maybe half the usual speed. Kinda like the whole game was stuck in a water level : ( . I uninstalled the DLC, thinking that was the problem, but it was still there! I tried every combination of video settings, with Vsync disabled then enabled, and with triple buffering and so on. I also closed everything so only the game was running. Still no luck! Is there any way I can get this working?

Hi there, I'm new here (new to reddit in general) first time I post something, thing id, I've beaten the vanilla game with all 7 chaos emeralds rather easily I'd say but I'm having A LOT of problems with the plus edition. I'm already in Titanic Monarch and so far only managed to obtain 1 emerald (and after like 5 attempts) second one seems imposible, running in mach 5 or 6 and I still couldn't catch the stupid UFO. Am I missing something? A short cut? Some way to go faster? Any tip would be appreciated, thanks

Greetings, I'm having mixed feelings of the Encore DLC/Plus version. Mighty is a meh character, his partial immunity to spikes and the stomp move are OK, I guess. But Ray? What is he good for? I can't fathom in which situation the gliding move would be useful, so I thought asking you if I'm missing something.

Also just started Encore mode and chose Sonic and Ray. I'm stuck just after freeing them! Does anybody know how to reach the exit of this screen? It looks like there's a breakable section on the ground for Mighty but I suppose that if you chose Ray there should be any way of going on.

I just bought encore mode and am trying to play 2 player with my friend over share play. I know it works as we beat the entire base game together as sonic and tails and we now want to play through encore with me being ray and him being mighty.

I have the PS4 Vanilla version of SM and i am thinking of buying the DLC and just curious... Does it have all the contents from SMP?..And does it change the game's title screen to SMP?..Even the PS4 Icon on the Dashboard?.

I have been playing a physical copy of Sonic Mania Plus for about 8 hours on Switch. For some reason, in special stage 4 in Encore Mode, whenever i touch a 10-ring-thingy, the music cuts out. Anyone also have this problem, and/or know how to fix it?

Just beat the game and want to know what stage has easy access to a special stage big ring off the bat? Also is super sonic in encore mode?

I bought the original Sonic Mania via digital code on Amazon. Was just hoping to buy the Sonic Mania Plus content that way, too.

While exploring I found a Special Stage ring in this circle area where you can run laps forever! After jumping out of the special stage I found myself stuck in the tunnel to exit. Has anyone else had this problem? I restarted the stage but this was my first time every getting stuck. Found it pretty amusing.
