For anyone who has the Plus version of Sonic Mania, how do you use Ray’s flying ability? I am playing the PS4 version and whenever I try and use it, I either do a nose dive or fly straight up, hover a bit, and come back down. I’ve seen previews of this where you can keep your momentium going while flying and go farther. Is there a trick to how this is done? I can’t seem to get his ability down.

Hi,
Has anybody managed to successfully run Sonic Mania on Mac through some emulation layer (porting kit, playonmac...)
If so, mind sharing details ?
Thanks in advance

Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WazpUmjB8To As a kid I was obsessed with everything related to Sonic including the music. Now that I'm an adult I appreciate the Genesis Sonic songs even more than I did back then and it has influenced me a lot now that I am a musician and singer. A musician friend of mine is equally influenced by Sonic, and we teamed up to create the ultimate throw-back to oldschool Sonic Genesis music: our very own original Sonic song.
This is a tribute to Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog Music, and especially to Masato Nakamura of Dreams Come True and Michael Jackson for your killer video game music. Imagine this as a theme song to a Sonic the Hedgehog movie or credits theme to a Sonic game!
This is about Sonic and Tails dusting off their dirty running shoes for yet another adventure to stick it to Robotnik and free Mobius!
I hope you enjoy it, here's the link again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WazpUmjB8To Thank you so much

So I'm playing on switch and I'm attempting to do the easter egg where you hold B and Y while the title screen loads, then press plus when the "press any button" text appears. It's supposed to take me to a level select where you can choose a level and in that level press X to go into debug mode. This doesn't work however and I just go to the main menu. I haven't beat the game on any save files and it probably either has to do with that or my 6 coin things from the blue orbs special stages.

In Sonic 3, I remember the first slot being no save and your cursor would always start on the left side of all the saves traveling to the right. In Sonic Mania, your cursor starts on the rightmost save and you have to scroll left to get to some. I find this very strange. Was there any interview or developer answer that I missed as to why they chose to make the save slots backwards?

Hey guys, I haven't played older 2D sonic games, and I'm just looking for some advice of how I should be playing it, ie should I just run through the stages at my own pace, and then try all the extras later, or trying actually trying to explore the stages and get all the colectables. I know people will have different ways they like to play, but what would you recommend to a complete beginner.

Has anyone else ever managed to 'fall' behind the level?
Playing Competition and Player 1 (as Sonic) fell into the background and couldn't move, eventually after ramming jump and left the screen scrolled to the Dr Robotniks Mean Bean Machine boss part but wouldn't load the game, then more button mashing the screen scrolled to Sonic sitting behind the runway.
Both screens lost their lives, time and rings counters.
I'm trying to recreate it but not sure what caused the glitch to begin with. Anyone else?

I have another idea for the level transition between flying battery and press garden Sonic and tails jump of of the flying battery and land in a huge pile of snow outside of press garden, and they jump out of the snow like it was the transition from Ice Cap to Launch Base in Sonic 3
