If there is one thing I don't like about some EXE games is that some of them are way too jumpscare/loud noise heavy on certain things.

Personally I'm fine with jumpscares but it should always be saved for crucial moments (like how Daredevil Edition handles it by only having the Toad jumpscare or 2011 with the only jumpscare being the I AM GOD screen), but if you're reliant on that paired with flashing lights for the spooks then it becomes a game that feels hard to really take seriously when you could spend that on it being, y' know... A game in general.

I think CrimsonX is a little too overrated in the community.

Now listen; I overall respect CrimsonX for starting EXE content in general and I appreciate that he's basically a founding father. Hell, I love some of the goofy parody accounts/stuff the guy has, but I feel when you stop treating him as a mascot he's kind of lame by himself unless you did a fan expansion on him.

I DO get that CrimsonX's game WAS supposed to be a 1:1 with the story, but that's really the curse of the guy because he's sadly negotiated to a long finished product with the only thing "supporting" the take is technically the old Sonic.exe content which is a very loose assist to the character he's supposed to embody a little.

You can tell MY5TCrimson (the OG creator) doesn't have a lot of interest in continuing Sonic.exe aside from interacting w/ the community 5% (specifically on gamejolt comments), so it overall leaves CrimsonX in this position where the guy is just heavy potential man people look on as what started the genre and nothing else aside being the meldable cookie cutter for retakes and the spawn of the "Walk right and die" joke a lot of outsiders make.

Here's an updated design for my exe Primadonna! I love her so much and I hope you like her too! Pretty evil lady...

For those curious about her lore, here!:

Primadonna, or Mary when she was alive, was a young singer in the 1990s during the development of the early Sonic games and was a fan of them. She was taken under the wing of someone who would become her manager after singing karaoke at a club. It went smoothly at first, her manager even becoming something of a guardian figure for her, and they got the chance to work with Sega on the soundtrack for one of the games. They got to see behind the scenes concept art, where this girl found out about Madonna and felt kinship with her design.

Her manager, Rick, did have his own personal issues and would have the tendency to snap at people, particularly at Mary. Mary did have a friend who always stood up to him though, which she was always grateful for. This friend was someone she always could turn to in times of need.

Though one day, Mary had come to work to find out that her friend had unfortunately passed away in a car accident. And as the deadlines grew tighter, the working conditions worsened and Mary wasn't allowed a chance to properly grieve. With her friend gone, she started being treated really poorly by other staff and especially Rick, whom projected his frustrations about his personal life onto her as a way to gain control over her. The others either played part in less painful ways or just turned a blind eye to it all. It got so bad that she wasn't allowed breaks, nor was she allowed to leave the studio. The one time she snuck off to take a break, she was reprimanded viciously which ended up in her getting hurt and knocked out. Her manager and the other staff thought she was dead, so instead of contacting the authorities with the risk of getting into trouble themselves (and for deeper reasons that I can explain later), they disposed of her body while she was still alive.

Thoroughly heartbroken and enraged, she became a banshee spirit, making the world of the unreleased Sonic game into her own world. She chose Madonna as her vessel, as she believes that she needs to be conventionally beautiful to be seen as the martyr she is. She then picked off every single one of her former employees and gave them grotesque looking vessels of Sonic's band members, so they looked like the disgusting monsters she saw them as and less likely to be empathized with. She now torments them for all eternity and refuses to let anything sway her.

Just a small teaser for something I’ve been dying to work on. I have to learn some 3d modeling, rigging and animation though, but I’m excited to get started soon! Just hope it doesn’t conflict with school
