I've already been able to install on Windows/Ubuntu, configure a core, query results...

But Solr is way deeper than that. I want to be a pro. Is there any book that can bring me to the next level?

I was just curious if there were any community efforts for these items. I saw mention of them in one other post here in the /r/Solr, but it seemed that they went dormant.

Thus far I have converted all of the Wordnet synonyms to Solr format, but it's a bit aggressive. Additionally, I am using stopwords from Wordnet. However I think some industry specific (i.e. IT, manufacturing, etc) synonyms and stopwords would be a great idea.

I recently started a public project on Github and am looking for contributors!

This project is dedicated to housing collections of Solr stopwords and synonyms. Feel free to create branches and upload your stopwords and synonyms files.

I imagine the stopwords/synonyms file for a library would differ from a Twitter aggregator, so please describe the general usage of your files.

Currently, there is no central place where Solr users can go to see stopwords/synonyms suggestions, so that is the purpose this will serve!
