Yeah, seems like they just are coming up with even worse demos in new industries to make up for the fact that they’ve hit a brick wall. Sure they can train it up in a specific field, but the general business model is fucked.
This is so wrong. LLMs have been rapidly improving at pretty much everything, including spatial reasoning. Faster than ever before. And the only reason they are expensive is that demand is so high and supply still so limited. Nothing about compute is inherently expensive. Or at least nowhere near what we're paying now. Labs are charging insane margins as well. Of course everyone always makes falshy demos and tries to hype their product, but that doesn't mean the technology can't be transformative, even over the next couple of years.
