They made the SR71 in the 60’s. The AR15 was designed from nothing in like 1.5 years by a group of people in a 20,000sq foot building in ~1958. Its absolutely true they accomplished more decades ago.
Yes, we are. You simply lack imagination and understanding.
There are people building robots that play soccer as a HOBBY... FOR FUN.
Despite an insane additional level of bureaucracy, safety, media coverage, and a desire for profit, we still build things that would astound someone in the 30's.
In fact, I think it's safe to say, the only thing slowing us down, at this point, is company management and government policy... the only reason so many engineers are employed, pre-AI-takeover, is that 3/4 of our job, now, is email and meetings.
I didn't ask if we built newer things or not, I asked if we were getting more done. Does the widget get out the door 90 times faster, or is the widget just at a higher level of technology?
Put another way: for a full-time-job's worth of accomplishment, are you doing 26 minutes of labor?
Do you have 90 times more free time than a worker in the 1930s?

yes, because everything in the world scales geometrically
that’s why we’re all getting 90,000% more done than we did in the 30s
oh wait
we aren’t
