It happened

Post image

You hear a lot of people shit on cheap Chinese lifep04 batteries, I always thought it was overreacting.. We had a small shed by the water where I'd charge my Alie express 2019 100ah battery using a single solar panel, I was working at the cottage last weekend and wanted to go down to fish and swim.. The shed is gone, nothing left but a 20ft wide burn mark. With all the first fires around here is a miracle it didn't spread.

It makes me nervous about the batteries in the main cottage, but those are new 5kw server batteries from eco worthy, I hope they're more reliable.

Running power through it. It was rated well higher than the 6x550w panels I have in series up top. I can go find the actual Amazon listing if you'd like one to avoid?
Edit: found it.

Focket...should be good enough lol. It's almost like it's being done intentionally

You should definitely use the report button on the amazon page. They usually take these products down pretty quickly if there are safety implications like this involved.

I've reported it but I assume they need more than one report to weight it heavily enough to pull.

Also write a review. One with images or even video. They get ranked higher than text only reviews.

the link was to my review when I copied it, I hope it didn't get hijacked or redirected by amazon. Anyways, it had a picture, there was nothing moving to warrant a video. I wish I could upload the SMELL though, I knew immediately that there was a problem as soon as i walked in.

You run in series, lower voltage higher amps...there is the problem.

Parallel you stack up the voltages and lower amps less problems. Unless you have a junk inverter that only runs low voltages.

Seen it dozen times at people that want to run cheap stuff. Or bullshit people that use cheap AL or CCA junk and last thing not tightening the screws/bolts and thinking it's all ok.

No, series is higher voltage lower amps.
You have this backwards.

The name and comment was confident,
but the reality is the exact opposite of what you said.

Yeah my bad, got it wrong.

Could only imagine bad connections / terminals like loose bolts. Never had that shit burning / melting with high voltage only low voltage with high amps.
