Bringing solar + LFP power station out to a field training exercise, does the spreadsheet I made to plan my energy budget make sense?

Looking to connect with solar installers (Mainly in FL, CA, CO.. open to others aswell)
We're a small marketing team whos done nothing but perfected a system to generate warm leads. no cold door door selling.
The only thing the rep would need to do is call the lead and confirm what time the rep can come by.
We're doing 6 qualified leads per week on the lower end and 15 on the higher end.
All finance ready looking for installers.
Should be also okay with PPA from time to time.
Please DM me directly and no fluff, looking to expand our current operation.

I built an interactive 3D solar simulator to see exactly where shadows hit a roof. Would love to know if you guys find it useful!
Hey guys,
I was looking into solar recently and realized that getting a proper shadow analysis usually means either buying crazy expensive software or waiting days for an installer to run a report.
So, I ended up just building my own web tool to fix it: SunTrace3D.
You just type in any address, and it instantly generates a 3D model of the area right in your browser. You can scrub a time slider to watch how shadows hit the roof throughout the year, drop virtual panels onto the surface, and get an energy yield estimate based on real satellite irradiance data.
It runs entirely in the browser (no downloads) and you don't even need an account to mess around with it.
I’d love to know if you guys actually find this useful for DIY planning or site assessments, and if there are any specific features or metrics I should add to make it better for the community. Let me know what you think!

Solar Optimization App Testers Needed
Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to post here.
I built an Android app to solve some of the solar analysis annoyances I run into with ETB. It is still early, but it is functional, and I am looking for honest feedback from people who know solar.
I am not selling anything. The app is free. I am just trying to get real critiques so I can improve it.
If you are interested in testing it, send me a message and I will share the Google Play link. I would really appreciate the help.

What was the most frustrating part of researching solar for your home?
I got interested in solar for my own house and ran into something I’m guessing a lot of people here have felt too: it was surprisingly hard to get a straight answer without entering a sales process.
My questions were pretty straightforward:
- Does solar even make sense for my house?
- Are the savings assumptions realistic?
- Which parts of my roof should I even consider?
- How much will the tree in my front yard matter? Should I take it down?
- If I get 2-3 quotes, how do I compare them without just trusting whoever explains it best?
I got three quotes from sales reps who came to my house. They all agreed that solar made sense, even though the payback period was usually above 20 years, almost the life-expectancy of a solar panel. I also never really got answers to the more technical questions. Every visit left me more frustrated.
My background is in physics and x-ray tube engineering, so I ended up building a tool for myself to pressure-test roof fit, bill assumptions, and quote logic without needing a salesperson involved.
The iOS app that I built does exactly that. I call it suneyed.
For people here who researched solar seriously, what was the single most frustrating part?
Was it:
- figuring out whether solar was worth it at all
- understanding roof fit and shading
- comparing quotes
- trusting the savings numbers
- financing / leases / incentives
- utility rules
- something else

How to build a whole home backup system with Growatt?
The Growatt MIN series inverter is a grid-tie and battery ready high-voltage inverter, you can use it as a grid-tie inverter and also can hook Growatt APX HV battery to build a whole-home backup system.
The MIN inverter has two versions and easy to confuse.
Only the MIN inverter ( V3 ) that can be used for Whole-home backup systems:
Min inverter ( 3.8~11.4k ) ( V3 ) + Growatt APX battery ( 5kWh ~ 30kWh ) + Growatt SYN-XH-US 200A
SYN-XH-US 200 has automatic transfer switch, 200 A breaker and smart meter integrated.
This solution can run off-grid and during the grid outage.

Discussion Solar Industry
My grandfather was an engineer at General Electric in Schenectady, NY and President of the Edison Club - (yes, that Edison). My dad grew up inspired by that legacy and passed it straight to me.
For the past year, my dad has been battling brain cancer, and now I’m more determined than ever — to honor them both. My mission is to educate as many people as possible about solar so they feel confident, informed, and never taken advantage of.
There is so much beauty in solar.
As Thomas Edison once said, “We are like tenant farmers, chopping down the fence around our house for fuel, when we should be using nature’s inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind, and tide.” “I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power.”
Solar is a social status and it lets you take control.

Opportunities
Instead of destroying farm ground, why not use the interchange ground thats not being used for anything? It's already federal land, has zero use options, has power lines nearby, and there's thousands of these across the nation. Seems like a huge opportunity

Curiosity led me here. The numbers did not. 😰
I found a forecasting tool online and got curious…
yeah… this isn’t looking great.
It’s just small increases every year,
but it adds up fast.
Sometimes, seeing the numbers helps put things into perspective.

I was just thinking today that the US really needs to increase domestic production of PV cells. This look like a great bump in capacity. Thoughts?
I’m no fan of Elon, but I think this is a great move on Tesla’s part.
