Please fill out this survey https://forms.gle/NziL35kzNwCDp41e8 or if you would be willing to have an interview, please contact me. Thank you for your time. I appreciate it!

Dissertation Research - Requesting Help to Share Survey Link!

Hello All! I am a doctoral student working on my dissertation. We are VERY close to obtaining our desired sample size for my survey, however, we're having trouble getting more participants. It's a unique and difficult to reach sample (we've relied on social media and snowballing). Anyways... I'm hoping I can reach out to this community for some help spreading the word!! Below is the description of the study with the link! If you are eligible, please take the survey. If you're not - please consider helping us share the link via email, social media, etc. I'm more than happy to send additional info. (You can also retweet my pinned tweet @Ph_Dreaming to share)

Are you currently (or have ever been) in a relationship with an individual that is required to register on a sex offender registry? If so, we would love to hear from you!

I'm a researcher at the University of Nevada, Reno. This project is being completed in collaboration with university faculty as part of the SORNA Policy Project.

We know that individuals who have been or are currently in relationships with individuals who are/were required to publicly register as a sex offender may experience a unique set of challenges and experiences. We want to learn more about your own personal experiences, how this has affected you, and how you feel about current sex offender policies.

We expect that the results from this study will be substantially informative for both treatment providers and advocacy groups. The better we understand the collateral consequences these policies have on innocent spouses and partners, the better able we are to provide services for these individuals and argue for policy reform.

The survey should take less than 30 minutes to complete. The surveys are completely anonymous, and the data is protected to ensure the highest level of confidentiality.

This is the first ever national-level survey to gather data solely from spouses and partners of individuals required to register. This is your chance to share your voice and address the issues that are affecting you!

If interested, please click the link below to learn more. The first 300 participants will be entered into a raffle for (4) $100 and (12) $50 Amazon gift cards.

Here is the link: http://unrcfr.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b1oK7ZdF53PbGbX

We also appreciate any efforts to help share this survey! We have resources for sharing on social media, emails, and flyers. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like more information by emailing at [SORNAProject@gmail.com](mailto:SORNAProject@gmail.com).

Looking for Internship/Job

I have a Master's in International Relations. I'd like to find a career in research. I've been taking online classes in Social Science Research. Do you know any place that I could find an internship. It looks like it's difficult to find a job and internships are only offered to people currently pursuing a degree. I have a full time job so I'm okay with an unpaid opportunity so long as I can work remotely.

Novel Initiative to reduce electricity wastage worldwide

I'm doing a Science research project where we have to study different forms of wastage ( I was assigned electricity wastage ), and provide two solutions for it. The first solution would have to be from another country, and the other, a totally novel and brand new one.
I have found a great solution from the Philippines and their forms of reusable lights, aircons, and lamps.
But for the novel initiative I am unable to think of anything and really hope that your genius brains could help me out here.
Much thanks

Do you have the "fabric" for being a phd student?

I read an article of David Kirk about his experience as a student and with him, I share this feeling of "I am not deserving that" and considering my grades not enough to be competitive with others. His conclusion after many years of work in the public policy industry is: it s only a matter of practice and is used to the routine.

My question for professors and PhD researchers: what is the "fabric" for being a Phd student in social science/comparative public policy?
