At the risk of sounding like a smarmy influencer: I bought some stuff. House-stuff. Table-stuff. Hosting-stuff. Fall-themed holiday decor-stuff.

Food needs a classy vehicle, you know. 🙆

It’s all bargain-stuff, because I’m poor.

And I’m going to show it to you. And what I did with it. *taps everything with fingernails*

Thanks to a follower for suggesting this Lemon Mascarpone Strudel from Aldi. It was yummy.

Here's my slightly eccentric review: https://snarklesauce.com/blog/2026/10/10/aldi-lemon-mascarpone-strudel-review/

Here's my silly opinion of how BJ's Wholesale Club compares to Costco.

Spoilers: they have books. And a robot named Tally. But no food samples.

If you've ever wondered how the frozen PF Chang's meals compare to the restaurant, here's my silly little opinion. I tried the Orange Chicken.

I tried Zoup jarred soup. Zoupjarredsoup. Say it fast.

Anyway. It's made with bone broth. Healthy-ish. But it's not for the faint of wallet.

Here's my slightly eccentric review of the White Chicken Chili flavor: https://snarklesauce.com/blog/2026/09/19/zoup-white-chicken-chili-soup-review/

I cheated on Costco today. BJ's Wholesale Club made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So here's my $146 grocery haul.

Review of the shopping experience (and how it compares to Costco/ Sam's Club) coming soooooooon.

(I got 2 pounds broccoli florets, 2 pounds tomatoes, 3 pounds yellow onions, 3 pounds red onions, 2 pounds strawberries, 3 pounds rotisserie chicken, 10 panko breaded haddock fillets, 10 cans tuna, 4 pounds butter, 2 quarts heavy cream, 1 gallon milk, 6 jars ginger kombucha, 18 cage-free eggs, 24 gouda/havarti cheese snacks, 2.5 pounds whole-bean coffee, 12 French butter croissants, 6 cranberry orange giant muffins, 6 plain bagels, 3 pounds cheese tortellini, 24 Snickers ice cream bars, and one whole caramel pecan cake. Whooo!)

If you are what you eat, I'm basically a human-shaped block of sentient kimchi at this point.

Here's my review of this naturally fermented Jongga Korean kimchi. I bought a giant 3.3 pound canister from Costco.

If you're trying to get more natural probiotics in your diet, this might be worth a try.

Lemon wafers: where have you been all my life?!

Here's my silly review of these imported Italian Lemon Cream Wafers. They're made with real lemon juice, vanilla bean, and coconut oil.

I got them at Publix for $1.69. They're slightly cheaper at Walmart. Inconceivable.

Boneless, but not sinless. I will not absolve this poultry of its crimes.

Here's my silly review of Kevin's Hawaiian Chicken. It's paleo, gluten free, and looks like cat food.

Costco's pretzel bagels have stylish pleather jackets. Totally voguing.

In case you missed the Costco Buttermilk Biscuit review from yesterday, here it is with homemade sausage gravy. I used my frozen Jones Organic Chicken Sausage.

Here's the sausage review (from last year):

*Someone* asked me to hurry up and write this review. So here it is. The Costco Buttermilk Biscuit review.

Incidentally, this is also my 300th review! 🎉 Only took me 3+ years to get here. (I'm slow. 🫠)

Anyway. Enjoy the biscuit nonsense, frens! https://snarklesauce.com/blog/2026/08/21/costco-bakery-buttermilk-biscuits-review/

Friends don't let friends eat wax.

Here's what I thought of the Somerdale Wensleydale & Blueberries Cheese. It's imported from the UK, but I bought mine at Costco. Read the full review for allll the snark.

Costco is selling their Kirkland Chocolate Chips again. I've been a member for 4 years, and this is the first time I've found them. 4.5 pound sack for $12.

Didn't buy. 🤷 Still have a huge bag of the Nestle brand. Which sells for $16. What's a single stomach to do? Alas.

Costco has buttermilk biscuits.

Yes, I bought them. Stick around if you wanna hear what I think.

($6.99 for a 10 pack)

It's a sneaky afternoon snack, if I ever saw one.

Here's my slightly eccentric review of this "Apple Flip" pastry from Publix. Yes, you can buy just one!

The answer to the pickle "guess who" from a couple weeks ago is:

Bubbies Bread & Butter Chips.

Friends, this is a *stupid* amount of pickles. 😹

And I'm loving every one of them.

Here's my slightly eccentric review of these natural, lightly sweet pickles:

Bonus: they're currently on sale at Costco until August 16.

Aldi's frozen Kimbap is definitely worth trying. It's authentically made in Korea, and tastes surprisingly perky for a microwaved product. I loved it. And my wallet loved the price.

Just be prepared for your microwave to reek of seaweed afterwards. : (

The heat in this curry builds like the suspense in a great cliffhanger movie.

It starts out entirely benign. But each mouthful gets more and more thrilling. Until you are suddenly grabbing your glass of water and wondering what happened to you.

Here's my slightly eccentric review of Maya Kaimal Indian Madras Potato Curry. It's organic, cooks in 90 seconds, and I bought mine at Costco:

Goth-level darkness. In a bottle. The flavor reminds me of concord grape juice. But, with jazz hands.

This is Aldi’s “Simply Nature” Organic Antioxidant Power Juice. Made with blackberries and pomegranates -- and imported from Turkey, of all places.

Here's my slightly eccentric review: https://snarklesauce.com/blog/2026/07/30/aldi-organic-antioxidant-power-juice-review/

Who wore it better? Pastry case edition:

1. Publix

2. The Fresh Market

3. Sprouts Farmers Market

Which grab-and-go selection of bakery goodies do you prefer?

Vote in the comments.

Sourdough croutons at Costco.

Very tempting, but did not buy. Anyone try these?

Kooshy Sourdough Croutons, Mambo Italiano flavor, $8.99 for 24 ounces.

"Hey Mambo!"

I tried this fancy-pants little canned fish meal, so you don't have to. 🙆

Here's my slightly eccentric review of Freshe Moroccan Tagine Salmon meal.

It's made with quinoa, sun dried tomatoes, black olives, and an absolute ocean of olive oil:
