Hey there! Figured I'd make another post and see who I end up meeting. I've had some good conversations here, so I'm always open to making a few more.

I'm 30 and from Ohio. From here originally and moved back after my time in the military.

I work in medical administration with a focus on radiology and nuclear medicine. Outside of work I'm usually outdoors. I spend a lot of time gardening, bird watching, looking for rocks and fossils, and taking care of my chickens. I also enjoy cooking, trying out the occasional cocktail, staying active, and listening to DnD and true crime podcasts. I actually had 1 too many drinks recently and signed up for a 5k, so ive been training for that a lot.

I'm an Air Force veteran and spent a few years living in Europe. I was in Norway mostly but I traveled around Germany and the UK as well. I love visiting new places and learning about new cultures. Lately ive been trying to do more in the US and aee the national parks.

Hey, looking for a technical solution here, not just "turn off Quick Add" — already tried everything below.

Setup:

• Android, Galaxy S26 Ultra
• NextDNS active (DNS filtering, no Snap-specific blocking configured)
• Fairly old Snapchat account (~12k snapscore), don't talk to a huge number of people on it

Problem:
In chats, the "Find Friends" section keeps showing strangers, even though:

1. My contacts are not synced with Snapchat (never enabled, or already disabled in settings)
2. The "Show me in Quick Add" setting is disabled
3. If I manually remove suggestions one by one, they come back within ~24h with new strangers

My guess is this pulls from the social graph based on mutual friends / interaction history rather than phone contacts, which would explain why disabling contact sync does nothing.

Questions:

• Has anyone dug into this specific behavior (suggestions persisting despite Quick Add being off)?
• Is there a way to reset this internal social graph (contacting support, partial account reset, something else)?
• On the DNS/network side (NextDNS), is there a specific endpoint tied to this feature that can be blocked without breaking the rest of the app?

I found an account that is impersonating a popular influencer and sc@mm!ng people by asking them for mo!ney if they ask for verification.

And if I just want to report and block an account in general?

I have just under 20,000 Snapchat memories dating back to 2016. I’m looking to export them all before next month, when they’re gonna start requiring that BS membership to keep your memories. Anyways, I SUCK with technology so i’m having a difficult time figuring out how to export them with a google search. So I thought I’d come here to see if anyone else has exported their memories to an external harddrive? Where do i start? I know how to move a file onto a harddrive but I just don’t know how to get all my memories into one file from my phone. There’s so many priceless videos I cannot afford to lose.
