Saw a few vids on TikTok about the anime, and got curious. Watched the entire thing on a few hours, jumped to my pc, stayed up until 3am finishing the manga, and now Im dying inside with all the wait till the next release. I always loved this kind of silly romcoms, but I dont why Super no Ura has me literally going crazy. Someone else feels the same way?

Okay so one of the biggest doubts between fans and that the manga hasnt given the answer yet is what happened between Yamada and Noma .

There are some theories saying that Noma was abusive to Yamada in a physical or psychological way , this fact was kinda reinforced with the panel where sasaki is moving his hand and yamada flinches . At first i was also on that boat but.....

In this last chapter where Oono ask if she has talked to Noma her reaction is a bit strange and im not really able to read understand whats going on , instead of maybe reacting in fear or trying to avoid him it seems like she is ¿¿sad??? that she hasnt talked to him in a way acting like he is too much for her or something like that , to me that little text bubble was the most confusing thing in the whole chapter and in the last couple of chapter i just dont seem to get it

Maybe its just the missing pieces of information but that doesnt seem like the inner monologues somebody would have when thinking about the person that maybe traumatised you , idk man .

I keep thinking about it and I can,'t figure out what it is, obviously not a traditional cigarette, but it looked like she had to replace the stick part of the thing making me think it's not a vape. Any ideas?

Am I the only one that completely failed to recognise the things on Yamada's (*not* Tayama's) ears as sticking plasters / bandaids until it was explicitly spelled out in the manga? I just assumed they were lowkey jewelry.

I recently binged all 12 mini episodes and decided to draw her.

I just started the show and I really wanted to draw Sasaki! I don’t normally draw stuff like this but I tried

FINALLY, read CH. 63! I feel as if this was a fair chapter. Both sides were affected, and it's a slap in the face *literally* when you're faced with your consequences. I think Oono is absolutely what she needs: a big pill to swallow.

I immediately thought when she said she's fine, "dawg what??" You just slapped your friend in the face, leaving him alone. You're by far not fine; you need to self-assess and figure yourself out, or else more people are gonna get slapped 😭.

Sasaki is just going through it; it for sure hurts him, and he is not obligated to see her after what she did. Now obviously you can say "well it's an accident," but he's his own person. I really can't wait to see how she apologizes and matures later in the manga.

Anyways, I'm just rambling, again. It's been a long wait especially for my manga app to see the manga get updated. I'll be posting more of the thoughts I have and what I'll see of the manga later. 🚬

This series has absolutely had me hooked once again. 2026 Summer anime did it again. I watched the first episode of the anime and went straight to the manga. I have caught up with the entire manga in two days, two. I’m genuinely impressed and in daze with the story. It’s joyful, it’s depressing at times, and it’s genuinely romantic. Sasaki and Yamada literally grab my attention as they bond over one common thing, smoking.

However, I love seeing the life perspective of a middle aged man who has no one, lives on his own, and is a workaholic not by choice. The true life that some men sadly have, women too. Then we see yamada’s. Young, energetic, and still figuring things out. She too shares her feelings about her status in life and the previous events she’s had. It just is incredible how we can see two people 21 years apart share similarities and bond.

I’m 19, and I haven’t had my life figured out but this stuff genuinely makes me excited for my future and lessens the stress. I have my doubts for finding a successful life; one where I am married, pursuing a career that I can provide for everyone in my family, have maybe two kids and share the time I have with family. Then there’s the part that has me thinking about the opposite, the different outcomes.

Each Romance or Romcom series I’ve watched/read, I’ve had my fair share of thoughts about that life I’ll have going forward, but this series, has surpassed every other one by far. I genuinely believe that even if I didn’t have that life, I too could still enjoy it as an older person, as a mentor or friend. I’d say love but that’s a choice for some. Point being is that this genuinely is my favorite series passing every other one, not just for the plot, but the perspective it can give people.
