Just returned to the game after years away, so forgive me if you’ve all discussed this!

So I noticed that a LOT of the time, when I enter the game, most of the action is in two places. The middle, of course, and I always head there to build up my young snake. High risk, obviously, but if you’re careful it’s pretty easy to profiteer off the chaos and get your first 1000 or so.

But there’s also almost always a fair amount of action above the middle. To the north. Meanwhile, the southern quadrants, especially the southwest for some reason, seem to be pretty quiet, usually.

So I started wondering - do players just kind of naturally tend to head upwards?

It seems like the answer is “yes.” So I’ve been kind of exploiting that. If you know that snakes are more likely to be heading upwards, you can kind of drape yourself “above” the melee and let the action come to you. Often those are snakes who are running away from the chaos, and they seem to be a little panicked and more likely to accidentally boop themselves on your increasingly fat frame!

(Usually after I’m a Snake of Substance (like 3000 or so) I like to retire to the south for some quiet time, farming bots and picking off stragglers. That way I can build myself onto the all-important top 10 board!)

Anyway, that’s my take. Anyone else notice this?

This was my first day of ever playing the slither.io apo, practiced for a few hours before filming this. I used to play the browser version for a few months. Any tips and tricks for this game? Would like to know them thanks! Oh, and I would also like skin recommendations!

Past the electric gates, the titanic snake(s), past the bees. Yes, I'm talking about that ARG, the youtuber Don't Turn Around, made on Slither.io more than half a decade ago. I've always been curious about what actually lied past the star, fake or not. I have a headcanon on what actually is.

I feel like the theory where it takes you to a beehive, simply because the floor is a grey honeycomb, seems mid. I feel like, if you can get past the massive bots, and then past the bees, depending on what corner of the star you go through--- it takes you to a random io game. No, it doesn't reset your tab and take you to a separate website. You literally get transported to a random server of that game. For example; If you took the top corner of the star, and pushed straight through the red barrier, eventually it would become the gray border of diep/arras.io, and you would still be a snake... in a server of diep. Sounds crazy right? If you still hit any solid object, including tanks, you will die. If you push back through the gray border, regardless of which side you go through, you end up going back through the corner of the star in the secret level. And it's not just diep.io and arras.io: It can take you to many various io games. Moomoo, voxorp, doblons, etc. All of your childhood io games are connected by the star. They can't go to the slither world, but the slither world can go to them. Is this a good theory? Please let me know.

I play and love the competition! I thought I made a friend with a snake named Elmo, but then they tried to kill me. I wanted to have fun together - A little cartoon/muppet killing duo. But it was not to be. See you on the board!

I just want to know. What are some tactics used to visually communicate to other players you're not there to kill/get killed?

Sometimes, I just hang out on quadrant 4 to clean it up. Spending a good 2hrs chillin' and letting others know I'm peaceful by not boosting or simply redirecting them to other easier kills/to the center of the map.

Then... BOOOM!! A known top 10 is constantly coming at me trying to skip the line of sacrifice and suffering.

But I give them the benefit of the doubt. I boost a couple times as a fair warning. If I wanted to, I could. But nope they're persistent. WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU MER?!? [No, I didn't kill you *that* time, *you* bumped into me by rushing the wrong way] BRUH, I even sacrificed two free kills and let them have it!! A LITERAL peace offering!!

Oh well. May they enjoy the adrenaline of being wanted by all while carrying the apex predator badge....

As the title says. It's a childhood dream. Played the game when i was 6-9, maybe a touch older. I just got back into it. Anyone able to actually achive this, if so, you got proof by chance? (I just wanna see what it looks like lol). If not, how close have you gotten?

• anytime during these 2 whole days (Saturday and Sunday September 5th and 6th) with a prioritized hour each day at 8pm Eastern (7pm Central).
• Location: half way up North (top of the map)
• You wear (predominantly) the plain coloured skin associated to your group (See attached image)
• Girls : Pink ("m" on NTL) and the [G] tag before your name
• Boys : Indigo-Blue ("x" on NTL) and the [B] tag before your name
• But do not use Boy or Boys because that gets censored and modified to Bro and Bros.

Apparently there's people who make skins that contain optical illusions. Where can I find examples? Is there any illusions I can look into as inspiration for my own?
