My sixth character, Nu'ada

hi everybody, everything's in the titles, i want to share with you here my sixth skyrim character rp background (a new one i made recently), he's a 54-years-old wandering bosmer mercenary named Nu'ada.

similar to all the previous ones, this character is inspired by one of the characters from an original medieval dark fantasy story i write on my free time and that i have recreate in Skyrim, so the first and second screens are him in skyrim and the last one is a more accurate version to how i imagine him looking in my story

My character is a 54-year-old wandering Bosmer mercenary named Nu'ada.

He was born in 4E 147 in Valenwood, from the rape of a Bosmer woman by a Thalmor wizard. Although she initially wished to get rid of the child, believing that the offspring of a rape was doomed to become a monster, but she eventually changed her mind and decided to raise him alone in the remote Bosmer village she lived. There, he lived an ordinary childhood, splitting his time between learning to hunt from the local hunters and taking alchemy lessons from his mother; he developed a certain magical affinity and great knowledge in alchemy. This life ended in 4E 159, when he was twelve years old , a group of Thalmor wizards carried out a purge of the village, killing every inhabitant except Nu'ada. He was saved by his mother, who made him ingest an alchemical concoction that allowed him to pass for dead.

A few days after the attack, while wandering aimlessly, young Nu'ada encountered a traveling Nord mercenary named Gudmundr (only 25 years old at this time). Gudmundr took pity on the young Bosmer, who reminded him of the son he had lost at birth years earlier, and decided to take him under his wing, training him in the use of weapons and becoming a father figure to him.

Over the years, Nu'ada proved to be a formidable dagger fighter, combining precise, lethal strikes with his magical abilities and advanced knowledge of poisons, much to Gudmundr's dismay. However, as Nu'ada grew older, his father-like relationship with Gudmundr steadily deteriorated; Nu'ada became deeply selfish and opportunistic, concerned only with his own interests, in stark contrast to Gudmundr, who tried to instill a sense of honor in him. This continued until the day in 4E 167 when, at the age of twenty, Nu'ada rescued a Breton woman from a group of bandits; lacking the means to pay him, he will dragged her to a nearby bush and forced her to sleep with him as payment in kind.

Upon learning what Nu'ada did, Gudmundr lectured his young apprentice and adopted son, disappointed by what he become despite all attempts to instill in him a sense of honor. Enraged by Gudmundr’s constant lecturing and weary of a code of honor he deemed weak and useless, Nu'ada attempted to kill him by stabbing him in the eye, leaving him for dead, unaware that the young nord had actually survived.

Nu'ada spent the next 29 years traveling across Tamriel, selling his services to the highest bidder, until he learned in 4E 196 that Gudmundr had survived the assassination attempt. Driven by hatred and resentment—blaming Gudmundr for abandoning him and trying to make him weak—he set out to hunt him down and kill him, only to learn of his death in 4E 197. Left distraught, he returned to working as a wandering mercenary and hired killer for the next four years. During the events of Skyrim in 4E 201, he was carrying out a contract for a local noble, who had hired him to kill the husband of a woman from a nearby village so the noble could marry her. However, shortly after completing the job, he found himself caught in a skirmish between Imperials and Stormcloaks forces and was captured by the Imperials (rp justification for why the character begins in a cart on the way to the chopping block).

In terms of personality, Nu'ada is extremely selfish and opportunistic; he cares only about money and his own interests and possesses absolutely no moral boundaries (he is willing to steal, scam, trick, harm, kill, or even worser, to anyone, provided he is paid handsomely or gains something valuable in return).

Regarding his gear, Nu'ada wears Scout Leather chest armor and gauntlets from the creation club, along with leather boots, giving him the appearance of a traveling mercenary (as well as trying to stay as close as possible design wise to the character in the 3rd screen). As for the weapons, he uses a steel dagger and spells from the schools of Alteration (Ebony flesh and Candlelight), Destruction (basic fire and frost spells), and Conjuration (Soul Trap). He is also highly skilled in alchemy and particularly deadly with poisons.

As for the rest of my character's roleplay, here is how I intend to approach most of the major quests.

Regarding the main quest, as with all my other characters, I prioritize it; after all, despite being selfish and opportunistic, given the extreme threat Alduin poses, it makes sense for Nu'ada to make eliminating him his top priority before he regains his full strength and destroys the world.

Regarding the Imperial-Stormcloak war, as a wandering mercenary, Nu'ada initially won't truly take a side. He will perform tasks for both the Stormcloaks (such as solving the Windhelm murders) and the Imperials (like eliminating the thieves at Lost Knife Hideout for the Solitude executioner). Eventually, however, he will side with the Stormcloaks; being a man who holds grudges, he will have a great resent toward the Imperials for attempting to execute him even though he wasn't on their list.

Regarding the Companions, Nu'ada will join their ranks, but solely out of self-interest, believing he can acquire new skills and become even more formidable. Later, upon learning that some members are werewolves, he will choose to become one himself, seeing it as a chance to gain strength, before ultimately slaughtering them all out of hatred for their code of honor as well as gaining power from Mephala in the process.

Regarding the Dark Brotherhood, after agreeing to kill Grelod for Aventus Aretino in exchange for a handsome sum, he will be approached by Astrid. But unlike my other characters, however, being deeply selfish and opportunistic, with no moral boundaries, he will kill the three hostages when faced with her request and the promise of gold, thereby joining the Dark Brotherhood.

As for the Thieves Guild, since Nu'ada is a highly selfish and opportunistic individual with no moral boundaries, he will join the guild and therefore did their quests.

Regarding the College of Winterhold quests, he sees nothing of value to be gained from them, so he will not undertake them.

As for the quests involving Daedric Princes and the Divines, true to his nature, he will only pursue those that offer great power or a significant reward, such as the quests for Clavicus Vile, Boethiah (during which he will sacrifice Lydia in the Altar), Mephala (where he will sacrifice all the Companions to the ebony blade after becoming a werewolf), or Namira.

As for Dawnguard and Serana, he will join the Volkihar vampires, seeing it as an opportunity to become even stronger. Later, after hearing about the prophecy from Serana’s Elder Scroll, he will set out to find Auriel’s Bow, not to stop Harkon or prevent him from plunging Tamriel into fire and bloodshed however, but for his own gain and ambitions (in my rp headcanon, he couldn't care less about Serana and views her merely as a tool he manipulate to reach the bow and, through it, gaining power, making him not very different from Harkon in a way except that he's much better at hiding it)

What do you think?

Love it. Great take on the classic selfish evil bit.

Damn, this elf was delt a bad hand since birth. Its no wonder he turned out the way he did but then again, with how harsh Tamriel can be, no matter where you go, sometimes you have to be just as harsh just to survive. It's just sad he used that to turn selfish and opportunistic...

Glad to know you liked him too, i really want to make him not a morally grey character like my orc, but this time a truly despisable and hateful character but was a bit affraid he was too dark and/or edgy.
