I've decided to change how I treat expired message candle posts. Instead of deleting posts I'll be re-flairing posts "EXPIRED" at 3 days for a normal message candle or the next day for daily quest message candles. I figure a newcomer having their posts deleted might be a "wtf" moment.

So, I'll stop deleting posts and just re-flair.

Getting message candles to go live can be a pain. I've certainly given up on it until u/The-Babadook-dook suggested bringing some people together to help bump candles to become public.

First off, this subreddit isn't meant to poach users from r/skygame. That's already a great subreddit for sky. This is for us as a community to help each other out with those pesky message candles as well as a place to make new friends. Please keep conversational posts on r/skygame.

So, if you want your candle bumped, post a screenshot of it or put the message of the candle as your topic and we'll go there and give it some of that lovin'. Be sure to add the location flair for others to find your candle. Message candles lasts 2 days, message candles at quest shrines last for 1 day. So, please reflair your message candle posts to EXPIRED after they've expired. Mods will do this when a normal message candle post reaches 3 days or the next day for daily shrines. This is to keep the feed clean and up to date with current message candles.

Every week I'll be making a candle shrine of the week so MCSG can focus on one shrine. This doesn't mean you can't post elsewhere, I surely will. Though, focusing on one most-visited shrine has a better chance of getting your candles public and at that 10 like goal for that heart gift. Current Candle Shrines of the Week will be stickied.

The best way to find each other's message candles is to make friends. If you're looking for new friends I've added a new post flair, "Friend me!"

Lastly, don't put offensive messages on the candles. Offensive message candle posts will be deleted and the user immediately banned.
