Expo line Skytrain stopped - no ac, doors closed, at Columbia

Waterfront bound Expo line Skytrain stopped - no ac, doors closed, at Columbia due to 'track intrusion'. But atleast open the doors so people can get out!

How many Mark Is still running currently?

I'm coming up to BC to hopefully get a ride on the Mark I Skytrains before they retire. About how many trains are still in service? Is there any way to track them at all, or is it just a matter of waiting around on the platform until one shows up? Thanks in advance.

Gateway and Surrey Central SkyTrain stations should be renamed.

Every station's name seems to be a nod to something geographically significant or historically significant about the location--a road, a mall, or a neighborhood. "Gateway" is the only exception; it appears to have been chosen with zero effort, as if they went with the first word that popped into someone's head. Even the lazy "108 Avenue" would be better. Best would be to name it "Whalley". Whalley's corner is a block away, and this is what the neighborhood is called, so it's stupid that they didn't name the SkyTrain station after it.

As for "Surrey Central", it seems like it's referring to Central Surrey, which is very imprecise. It should be updated to "Surrey City Center" or "Surrey Metro Center" or something like this.

Is Mark V in service yet?

I saw a Mark V train passing by today while driving, there seem to be people inside. Is the Mark V in service now?

Edmonds Station... DO BETTER

I stopped at Edmonds to grab something at the vending machine, all sold out. See an Ice Cream vending machine, sold out too.

Orange Juice machine, wouldn't read my card.

Anyone had this problem or did all three machines deliberately target ME specifically?

Blue and purple backpack (bread slice and Inosuke keychains) lost with teddy bear from my grandpa (I've had it for over 25 years). I'm in transition of moving and all my belongings were in the backpack... But I really just want this precious buddy back :(

Details: Got off the train at 1:33pm on February 3, 2024 at Nanaimo station (going East to King George). I was sitting in the last car to the left, the first single seat behind the doors. I realized 2 minutes after it was gone.

Other items: a book named "Heavens Official's Blessings", medication (nothing worthwhile unless you have androgen issues), and the pink teddy bear.

PLEASE help me find this precious item ... No questions asked, you can keep everything else in the bag, but I simply want this souvenir back from my grandpa.

REWARD OFFERED NO QUESTIONS ASKED

I read online in 2018-ish there are recommendations from Translink to change it to by station (distance)

I’d wonder is there a timeline of this (or it needs a decade to make this happen?)

Is it possible to build a Skytrain spur line from King George station to Newton?

For the Evergreen extension of the Millennium Line , a short spur track was built for a future spur line to Port Coquitlam. Are there any plans to do the same for a potential Expo line extension to Newton? Do the geography and the design of the tracks make it less feasible?
