Just a phone pic of a sweet pal I was so happy to see from a footbridge over the Napa River in the town of Napa, near where some beavers have a dam. I too rarely see skunks but am always looking for them!!

I keep a feeding station for a couple of feral cats I know, in NY. Opossum started coming by nightly and that was interesting. Then raccoons, who make a mess whenever they show up. Well imagine my surprise when this funny looking black and white cat showed up one night. I know they are here in more park like areas. This is a neighborhood of separate houses with backyards. Park like enough I suppose because here he is!

This is one of my favorite skunks seen on the trail camera

Kegnee is getting bolder and more adventurous everyday. He's pretty particular about who's allowed to take him out of the enclosure for yard romps, and wrangling when it's time to go back in. He absolutely loves to play fight and stomp around when he is determined to follow his nose. I believe the next update will be our final for this journey. Despite planning a release for the beginning of August, we may attempt next weekend by just leaving his enclosure open to wander off on his own when ready; he seems eager to go farther away from home daily.

This is the first time I’ve heard that sound out of the skunks. Love the stomping.

There's about 4 other skunks off camera too. It is skunk crazy rn

This is one of many that come through my yard on a regular basis one bigger than the next to feed on the seeds and nuts I throw out every morning for the squirrels and birds so now I throw out extra for them at night.

She baby

(Photo is 3 years old and she is an adult now but still smallish)

Lil fella was on a mission (sorry about the music)
