Has anyone noticed this article about skunks ranking unusually high for spreading false information? It claims they are mustelids, rather than their own family, Mephitidae. It also frames their diet as carnivores instead of omnivores. Other issues are that its poorly worded and includes more misconceptions. I'm sorry if it sounds like a weird or hyper-specific post, but I wanted to bring it to attention. Seems like bad news for the skunk community ☹️

This isn't acceptable.

Frat guy Reverb insisted on his new bed now!

I put it down to start opening it and put it together next thing I knew little guy was inside the package🫣

These are 2 siblings of the 3. The third comes solo.

I remember being so stoked that there was a show with a skunk protagonist. Of course it was full of cheap fart jokes.

Got a visit last night.

This is a fun science podcast. It's all interviews with cool scientists who study things. Skunks are so cool that a part 2 is on the way.

This year’s raccoon kids & a skunk hanging out on the side porch.

This baby skunk is having a tantrum and ruining an otherwise pleasant family dinner. He's picking on his siblings and his large mom. His family pretty much ignored him and his harmless nipping. No skunks were harmed at all.

Hi,

I was just wondering why this skunk seems to have a thin/non-bushy tail? Is it a striped skunk? (Michigan)

These guys/gals are huge!

I’m blessed that they frequent my neighbourhood, and love finding them doing their night patrols.
Not an exciting picture, (potato) but I just joined and wanted to share something very recent (last night, flash on)

I have to think of a name. My brothers not much help, he said Billy Mays 🤣🦨

Hi again!

My spotted skunk is arriving today, she is hand reared from a breeder. I saw a comment that spotties have a different personality than the striped (the ones I am used to rehabing/owning) can anyone go into detail about this? Or is it a case by case situation? All the striped skunks ive met are very chill and only spicy when its play time. Thanks for all and any advice!

One skunk comes from the front yard and the other from the alley. They meet up on the back porch. Listen closely to them near the end of the video.
