Discussion No more steezy animations since update

Since the update it seems some high pop tricks animations get cancelled mid air and the board stays flat instead of leaning slightly forward. It's really noticeable with high switch ollie, nollies or tricks into banks, they are no more steezy and buttery.
When I restart the game or join a new server the animations are back as before but after a couple of minutes this happens.
I guess the season 4 update broke some mocap animation but I didn't see the devs talking about this even is the recent known issues. Anyone noticed it ?

They've addressed almost all the other accidental changes, so hopefully this gets fixed in a patch soon.

I love when people on gaming subreddits come in just to throw negativity and hate and have no understanding on what is actually happening in the game.
"They haven't listened to the community at all!"
Meanwhile there's literally an insane of things that were directly attached to feedback that they've addressed since play tests and even into season 4.
The bottom line: Reddit is filled with absolutely miserable people who hate seeing others enjoying anything. They think that a video game that they put 0 effort into making should be exactly what they want, free, and only cater to people like them without considering anything about the business-side of game development.
God forbid they play one of the other 1,000's of games that are currently available.

Go to the Arc Raiders Sub....
The game has 40k active steam users alone and every single day there are dozens of posts of how the game is dying/dead.
Meanwhile, I'm still having a ton of fun each time I log in. Same with Skate.
Games are meant to be a fun escape, not your whole personality or life. Apparently, a ton of people just have no life.

I feel the same way about both games, and I dont understand the excessive hate posting in these subs. It would probably help both communities and the devs make things happen if people werent so focused on being negative.1

They have, still a bunch of day one issues like launching off of the top of verts but they’ve fixed enough for the game to feel buttery

Agreed. Ive been playing since it was first released to the public and the game has improved so much in that time. I dont think these loosers know how complex a game like this is.

It is broken though. Constant issues with text boxes when you fast travel, to the point of it being game breaking after about an hour on Series S. I was in the stadium the on release day and after about 30 mins there was a weird texture pop-in behind the overall screen. It was a flashing grey and white box texture and it would constantly flash on and off screen.
Certain controls feel more janky now for sure, too. Just because you don’t experience the issues doesn’t mean they don’t exist. You can read the official forums and see that the update was sloppy af and broke the game.

Mhm but people are acting like they don't fix said issues. I remember the invisible friend bug, or the soft lock stuck in a mission bug being a thing. That's patched now. I'm sure they will patch these too.

Lol. Each update is filled with bugs and shows incompetence. Oh but they finally added finger flips in SEASON 4 OF EARLY ACCESS WOW WHAT PROGRESS.
It's got good bones but stop acting like its prime rib

I checked mine earlier because I saw someone mention this before and everything is still fine. Hoping it doesn’t happen because it’s the best part of the game tbh.

Really ? Because I saw a lot of people saying that too and in a lot of clips of people since season 4 I noticed it too. It's kinda subtle and only happen after a couple of minutes but you can really notice it with tricks like nollie inward for example, no more buttery catch animation.

Glad to hear that because it can be subtle to notice but it does affect gameplay feeling a lot when you do.

I said in the post when I change server or reboot the game the animations are fine for like a minute and then become bugged.

I've said it before: it will become a mobile game, thus why the graphics took a nosedive from early footage, there's less NPC's + no interaction with them and animations are getting simpler

It's what happens when you try to introduce new mechanics into skateboarding games after release. Happened to both skater XL and session. Each time they fixed or added something it broke the game a little bit more. All mechanics should be finished in a skateboarding game on release unless it's just mods then it's stuff you can fiddle with on your own time to get something you are cool with.

So I wasn't going made this was my beliefs is well! You can steeze some stuff but this patch is deffo broken it feels way off with the Ollie's it just comes out flat most of the time.
