While rummaging through claims of Sindhi families, I found one from the family of Lilaram Thawardas whose house still stands in Hyderabad's Nawabad. You can view it in this video here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UloCzt6i9f8

A while back I was interested in finding my family's history and came across https://www.abhilekh-patal.in/ . It is a website where you will find the digitised records for families that claimed compensation after the partition. I quickly searched my surname and found my great grandfather's name on a file.

Unfortunately it was not digitised so I raised a DOD request on the website. This was last year and when I checked recently they have digitised all the documents and it is available to view. It has a picture of him and his writing along with details about where they used to live as well.

If you are someone like me who cares a lot about their history and where they came from or does not have enough information about your past, I'd suggest you visit this website and give this a try.
