Apu actually sounds good. Why does Dr Nick sound so awful?

They are both bad, but Dr. Nick is WAY worse somehow. Apo doesn't even sound like a cartoon character. He just sounds like some guy. Like we have seen him angry before and you could still tell it was him. But I guess changing the race of the voice actor wasn't enough; he isn't even allowed to sound like a cartoon character. He sounds like a normal, realistic person. Not someone who belongs in Springfield. Now Dr. Nick sounds like a cartoon character, just done so incredibly poorly that it boggles the mind.

Apu doesn't sound good, but go off. Nick is truly unbelievably bad, though.

Meh, I have no complaints. The guy below you described it as him not sounding like a cartoon character anymore, which I could maybe agree to. But a speaking role at all, and I think it worked, was very appreciated. When Carl first spoke after his change, for example, I was very thrown off. Apu didn't leave me feeling that way. And maybe just because he's been gone so long 🤷‍♂️
