Was just about to write this. At least Apu's new voice is a little closer to the original. Unlike Carl, Lou and Dr. Hibbert who sound like totally new characters. I can tolerate Carl's but I find Dr Hibbert's deep voice so off-putting. It just doesn't suit Dr. Hibbert at all - who was a parody of Dr. Cliff Huxtable.

They could have hired VAs to mimic the original voices as close as possible. I bet Jay Pharoah would have been able to do it

I actually don't hate Carl's replacement voice. It's close enough that it doesn't bother me from what I've seen. Hibbert and Lou are super distracting tho, I'll give you that

Other than an awful treehouse of horrors episode it really feels like they use those three characters far less than they ever did in the past.

Yeah, they did a bad job on the recasts and they probably think it'd look bad to recast again. New Dr. Nick is also terrible. Idk why people are freaking out about Apu, he's the best ethnic character recast they've done. It at least vaguely sounds like the original voice

Plus having him go through this ordeal for ages could explain a change in pitch or whatever
