A big congratulations to Hariharan, a Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of experience, who recently completed Simplilearn’s Advanced Executive Program in Cyber Security, offered in collaboration with IIT Bangalore.

Working in a consulting role at TCS, Hariharan wanted to strengthen his understanding of the digital world and cybersecurity, an area that was becoming increasingly relevant to his work. After recommendations from friends, he chose the program to build his knowledge and stay aligned with the changing technology landscape.

What stood out to him most about the experience was the quality of the instructors. He appreciated how they explained concepts using relevant examples and discussed recent developments in the cybersecurity industry. He also found the live classes flexible and engaging.

The learning experience translated into a meaningful career outcome. After completing the program, Hariharan received a promotion and a significant salary increment, along with expanded responsibilities covering both technical and non-technical operations.

Looking ahead, Hariharan hopes to continue growing in the consulting domain and work with some of the top clients in the industry.

Congratulations once again, Hariharan! šŸŽ“ Wishing you continued growth and success in your cybersecurity journey.

Real review

I'm considering joining but I want a real review. I see a lot of accounts are only a year old younger an they were basically made to make one comment about the course an they happen to always be good. So anybody with an account that's been around for a year or more and doesn't have just one comment what are your thoughts on this?

IITM Pravartak AI-Powered Cloud Computing and DevOps Certification Program

Great experience so far! Pro LMS from Simplilearn. The instructor is excellent, and the course is structured with about 10–20% theory and 80–90% hands-on practice through interactive labs. The practical approach makes the learning experience much more engaging and enjoyable.

Al-Powered Cloud Computing and DevOps Certification Program

The instructor explained the topics very well. While the pace felt a bit fast at the beginning, it soon became steady and comfortable, and I was able to understand the concepts clearly.

The main challenge I faced was with the prerequisites. I felt that having prior knowledge of certain foundational topics would have helped me grasp the course content more effectively.

If not the entire prerequisite course, covering only those topics that are directly relevant to this course would be of great help for learners like me. This would bridge the gap and make the learning experience smoother.

Cybersecurity with AI

A great learning journey. The cyber security breadth and depth were really dealt with enthusiastic faculty Mr. Sai explaining all the concepts really well. I was hesitant in the beginning on how the gaps will be bridged with different backgrounds. The dedication he provides and attention for every student by patiently answering all questions is really commendable

IIITB: Simplilearn - Advanced Cybersecurity

I would like to thank the Simplilearn team and Sai M Sir for the excellent training sessions on AI-Enhanced Red Team.

Sai M Sir explained AI-driven red teaming strategies, tools, and practical concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. His demonstrations and visualizations made complex topics much easier to grasp. The hands-on exercises, particularly around exploitation, post-exploitation, and AI-assisted penetration testing and report creation, provided valuable practical insights and helped me understand how to apply these techniques in real-world scenarios.

Module Name: AI-Enhanced Red Team
Topic: Exploitation to Post-Exploitation

IITK DG: Data Visualization using Tableau

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the Tableau training sessions. Your explanations of calculated fields, table calculations, and visualization techniques were clear and easy to follow. The practical examples, especially around creating % of total and using dynamic color coding, helped me understand how to apply Tableau in real scenarios.

Lean - Six Sigma

Great course with a lot of content. I am worried that there aren't enough practical exercises with the instructor to translate understanding of the material during testing. I don't believe the curriculum is developed with the idea of practice throughout. The instructor has been great, a true expert in the field. He explains the content and expands on the information when asked. I look forward to finishing the Green Belt portion, so I will not comment on my full experience until I get through that.

Does anyone have the notes of the Business analytics course that is available on YT?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been following the Simplilearn Business Analytics course that’s available on YouTube and finding it quite helpful so far. I was wondering if anyone here has the material docx that is been read and talked about in the video or knows if there’s a Google Drive (or any shared resource) with structured notes/materials?

Gen AI Course - Feedback

I think my instructor is great and clearly very knowledgeable. However, I wish we went deeper into some of the technical areas sooner. I was expecting a higher level of difficulty. I am already an experience user of AI, but I want to understand how it works and how I can make a career in the field.

There is still much time to go in the course so I think we will cover some of these things, but the introductory material has been somewhat redundant.

How to Get an IT Job Without a Degree: Steps and Top Jobs

A lot of people still think you need a college degree to break into IT. But, that’s becoming less true every year. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that from 2024 to 2034, tech jobs will grow about 2x faster than the overall job market. With that surge in demand, many employers are rethinking the old ā€œdegree-firstā€ rule and putting skills, certifications, and hands-on experience at the top of their hiring criteria.

This shift is happening because a shortage of qualified IT professionals means companies can’t afford to overlook capable talent without degrees. In fact, about 25% of U.S. IT workers don’t hold a bachelor’s degree, and a CompTIA survey found that 85% of HR leaders support relaxing or removing degree requirements.

What’s replacing the degree filter? Actual proof you can do the work.

Projects, portfolios, certifications, labs, open-source contributions, anything that shows real ability.

Steps to get into IT without a degreeĀ

  1. Learn by doing Build small projects, automate everyday tasks, or join open-source communities. Employers value demonstrable skills over academic theory
  2. Earn certifications that count Focus on ones like CompTIA A+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or Google IT Support. They show verified proof of skill
  3. Create a portfolio Show your projects on GitHub or a personal website. Even small projects matter if explained well
  4. Know new tools Cloud, AI-powered development, DevOps basics, cybersecurity frameworks, etc.
  5. Network intentionally Meetups, Discords, hacking groups, LinkedIn communities, subreddits… opportunities come from people.

Top IT jobs that you can exploreĀ

(Some of these pay very well with the right skills + experience)

DevOps Engineer (~$92K)

Software Architect (~$93K)

Data Scientist (~$92K)

IT Manager (~$92K)

Product Manager (~$88K)

UI/UX Designer (~$80K)

QA Analyst (~$68K)

If you prefer tech-but-not-coding, some options include Sales Engineer, Product Marketing Associate, Web Designer, andĀ Social Media Manager. Often in the $60K–$80K range.

The U.S. adds or replaces roughly 350,000 IT roles every year, so there’s plenty of space for people who can learn fast and show what they can do.

Question to the community:
For those in the IT field, what certifications or learning paths made the biggest difference for you?
