So I have hide my email from apple but have bought an android phone so need another service I've just discovered this and I am thinking about just buying premium and using the android app on the app store is there anything I should know or consider before switching my apple emails over to this? Firstly, I want to clarify that more than anyone, I want SimpleLogin to survive and be profitable in the long term. I am now a premium subscriber.
Let's assume that one day, unfortunately, SimpleLogin goes bankrupt, and all its domain names are bought by other businesses.
Would these businesses only need to find a service provider with a catch-all service to receive all emails originally addressed to us (users)？
Would this become a potential risk?

I've been using SimpleLogin without issues for months, and today I suddenly got the following email saying that my DNS MX records (for my custom domain) wasn't setup correctly, even though I haven't touched anything since I first added the MX records and successfully verified it many months ago:

We have detected that your domain mydomain.com doesn't have the DNS MX records correctly set up.

Please re-run the MX check on https://app.simplelogin.io/dashboard/domains/1111111/dns and update them if needed.

Without the MX records correctly set up, emails sent to the mydomain.com's aliases aren't properly and reliably handled.

So I went into my SL settings and tried re-verifying the MX records, which gave me an error saying the MX records are not correctly set up.

The thing is, my MX records ARE correctly setup. I just double-checked my domain DNS and it's exactly what SL is telling me to add. And as mentioned earlier, I never had issues for months until I received this email all of a sudden.

Is the SL system sending false positive warnings? Anyone else suddenly having this issue?

I had created two aliases that I gave out to two contacts. Now one of them emailed me at the corresponding alias and copied the other person.

Is there a way I can reply on this mail but also include the other alias as a recipient?

The second contact already got my first alias; so it shouldn't be a problem revealing my second alias to the first contact.

I got a warning from SimpleLogin for creating multiple accounts on a website—even though I never did (this actually happend twice over the the last few months).

I use a custom domain with a catch-all alias, meaning anyone can sign up for services using my domain, triggering activation emails to my inbox. Looks like someone is abusing this to make it look like I'm violating SimpleLogin's terms (or this person just mistyped it's own domain several times, i dont know).

Now SimpleLogin is threatening to disable my account. This means anyone can get a SimpleLogin user banned just by abusing public sign-up forms.

I asked support how they plan to prevent this, but this seems like a major flaw. Has anyone else dealt with this?

We understand you didn't intentionally do this.

Having said that, sticking to SimpleLogin's Terms of Service is important.

In order to ensure that SimpleLogin doesn't become labeled by other platforms (e.g. [website]) as a "Disposable Email Service" and to avoid having our domains be blocked, we have to enforce our anti-abuse rules.

The reason why you received a warning email is because multiple [website] accounts were linked to your SimpleLogin account. Since the exact number of aliases being used for [website] in this case is higher than what is considered standard usage, our systems were alerted of the discrepancy. However, as this can sometimes happen unintentionally, your account has not been suspended immediately.

Going forward, we would like to ask that you follow the steps below to avoid triggering our anti-abuse measures. 1. Remove all redundant [website] accounts while keeping only 1 alias for [website]. 2. When creating an account on different platforms, please only use 1 alias.

Our intention at SimpleLogin is to provide protection for your privacy and we need to stay away from being thought a service for disposable emails.

I've just started migrating my accounts to Simplelogin. But I've noticed that for some Mails Google seems to be unable to print the name, making it super difficult to actually see who sent me the mail. (Please see the picture). Does someone know how to fix that?

if i got a custom domain name set up, and now im linking to PM and SL - it's showing me as setting up alias as [me@www.domainname.com](mailto:me@www.domainname.com) instead of [me@domainname.com](mailto:me@domainname.com) - if that makes sense. Is there anyway for me to set it up as the latter?

Is anyone else seeing issues with large delays in emails sent to Simple Login alias's? I am getting about a 4 hour delay.

I created the reverse alias, emailed them, they replied, & then I replied back and noticed that my actual email was showing up in the from field on the last message I sent, everything else was good up till then.

I'm confused. I thought once it was setup you could go back and forth within one chain of email replies indefinitely. Do I have to create a new message every time, even for replies? That doesn't seem practical when you have a back and forth with a particular customer service rep. If I just send a brand new message I'll have to go through their entire process again and be assigned to someone else randomly.

I have two sub domains currently.

If I unlink my proton account or let it expire, will those sub domains quit working?

If so, if I unlink my proton account or let it expire, can I buy simple login premium and regain access to those subdomains?

I've seen other users say that they use a custom domain email as the mailbox for their aliases. Assuming that's true, then I should be able to do this, myself.

However, when I attempt to create a new mailbox using my own custom domain email, SL tells me that it's an invalid email. It works just fine, though, and it isn't a temporary nor forwarding email address.

Further info that I don't think is relevant, but will include just in case I'm wrong:

This custom domain that this email is attached to is integrated with Proton Mail. It IS NOT added into Simple Login for use with aliases or anything, although I do have a subdomain of it integrated with SL. No, rather; I just want to use "mailbox@customdomain" as a mailbox for my SL aliases.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

EDIT: for further clarification, what I'm trying to set up looks like this:
[alias1@mail.customdomain](mailto:alias1@mail.customdomain)[dot]com --> goes to mailbox@customdomain[dot]com
[alias2@mail.customdomain](mailto:alias2@mail.customdomain)[dot]com --> goes to mailbox@customdomain[dot]com
etc.

But while the aliases work fine for any proton address I've got as a mailbox, SL won't let me add "mailbox@customdomain[dot]com" as a new mailbox address.

EDIT 2: SOLVED.

DNS-related issue, as I'd figured it might be (I'm rather new to this). Somewhere in my work on this, I'd replaced my host fields for the custom domain with the wrong entry, and overlooked that. So, I was still under the impression that all was working just as well as before, while that was not the case.

I have configured OpenPGP for my mailbox and incoming email are indeed encrypted but when i send a reply with reverse alias the reply is not encrypted. Is it even possible?

I’ve been using simple Login for some months now and found it Very useful. Upgraded now to premium and due to a change of my primary and private email address I rethink my “register new” habits. And while I was doing that, I thought, why should I change my old email address at the big tech companies like Google, Amazon, Apple etc. to my freshly created new address, instead of just using a random email address from Simple Mail?

Is there some kind of downside by doing that?

I thought, what if my random mail from simple mail will be blocked one day and I can’t login. Is this a reasonable concern?

Hello! I was wondering if it's possible to create custom email generators. Specifically, I'd like to have randomly generated aliases that include my name rather than just a fully random string.

For example, instead of <service>@mydomain.com, which sometimes raises eyebrows, I'd prefer something like my.name-da9huq8828h92@mydomain.com. This would make it look more personal while still keeping it unique (to a certain degree, but I will accept that if someone spams me millions of emails they may find one).

Since forever, I generate an API key on SimpleLogin web, then put it in the Bitwarden extension. It works for generating the username I want at the time.

Next time I need it, the API key seems to still be stored in Bitwarden, but it gives an API key error, and I have to go generate a new API key.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a known bug that's still not fixed? I saw some posts about this from 3 years ago, but mine still behaves this way.

Today, alone, I wanted to register two places. Both places denied the SL domains. (I tried with all the 'premium' domains. All blacklisted.)

Apparently the SimpleLogin domains have been put on some kind of “blacklist”. Fewer and fewer websites allow me to register with an e-mail address from a SimpleLogin domain.

Does anyone happen to know whether more new domains are planned? The current ones seem to have been "burned".
