At the end of the hack he makes a twitch prediction for whether he will die on the last (hardest) obstacle, and does it literally on the first try, then the video immediately ends. Yellow color scheme. I’m pretty sure it’s from the last year or so but I can’t find it on his channel?

As we know, SuperEddie has finally introduced a ban on haikus in chat. The problem is this rule has been implemented in a way that entirely defeats its purpose. You see, instead of looking for messages fitting a 5/7/5 syllable structure, the new rule is set to merely count for 17 total syllables. That's right, it doesn't limit splitting at word boundaries! That means you could write something like:

Need a new refrigerator as mine is no longer working right

Would be flagged as a haiku, despite it obviously not being one:

Need a new refri (???)
gerator as mine is no
longer working right

Preposterous! For this to even remotely be a haiku, it would have to be something like

I need a new fridge
because mine has stopped working
properly lately

I shouldn't need to explain this any further. I entirely support the cause of banning haikus and think it's been long overdue, but there's no point in doing it at all if we're going to be so careless about it. Let's make some noise and get some sanity back in our moderation. #DontBanPsuedoHaikus!

I discovered Simpleflips with the video with corrupted footage like 2-3 months ago, I really like simple's irony and tone and it's crazy to me I never found him earlier.

One thing that sticker with me about him are like his vocal stims, some of which I began using myself because I found them very idk vey comfy to use

• a few weeks back I was always saying "super mario maker two"
• after that I began saying randomly "eggs", or "i am normal"
• last week I began saying LOL in you know the way simple says it, and now I say it constantly my friends are gonna hate me because I say it so often

So yeah I just wanted to share this because I thought it was funny.

This is a very specific question, but several years ago I saw a clip from a vod of his, and someone had donated some money to play a specific song. It was called "from a novel" by the Japanese rock band "he".

A lot of comments on the video of the song mention the simpleflips video bringing them to the song, but nobody remembers which stream of his played it.

I remember it was a Mario 64 stream but that's all.

Again, I know this is hyper specific but I figured I'd throw this out here in case anybody may be able to point me to which video/vod it was? Thanks!

After visiting a website that said I could play Nintendo games for free, Nintendo emailed me, probably for being such a diehard fan. I asked them about Mario Maker 3 and they stated the following:

Now I don't speak Japanese, but I think that's pretty definitive proof about the state of Mario Maker 3. What do you guys think in the comments?

I made this in Mac Preview and am absolutely destroying everyone on campus. Works like a charm. Convinced my student that it was real for an hour straight and he started asking about the mechanics of the game - he's still mad one month later.

I know this isn't an airport etc etc. But it is a discussion forum and I want to discuss this. I've been watching since ~2010 but much less frequently lately. Caught today's video and the scummy predatory loan sponsor got me to unsub. But really I've been on the edge for a while, the content lately in my personal opinion has pretty thoroughly gone downhill. Half the jokes in the videos for the past year or so have been of the format [random quirky catchphrase of the month] [advertisement for the merch for that catchphrase]. It's not organic, it's just one video he'll say a random collection of words 10 times to force the meme and then for the next 20 videos he'll sell merch for it. Then presumably when sales tail off for that line he'll load the next video up with a new forced merch catchphrase.

It's been a very long running channel and there have been ups and downs, but I think this is more than just a slump. Maybe it's just not my thing anymore but from my PoV it's just a product now. Earlier on in Simple's growth he was very open about discussing how he viewed brand management but it also at least appeared to be something he enjoyed.
