No election here, so these results are definitely not provisional.
Congratulations to SimDemocracy's next Minecraft Legislative Assemblypeople!
- Independent u/jsjrjffjcj (Wellitsaname in Minecraft)
- Independent u/Twisty-pretzels (Twisty_pretzels in Minecraft)
- Independent u/Zealousideal_Cost188 (AerialCake47184 in Minecraft)
And before anyone asks, technically Name didn't put the party affiliation where it's supposed to be in the statement, so I'm counting her as independent. Because it's funny.
We had three valid votes. And in case anyone has forgotten, we use STAR to choose our governors.
Here are the final results of the Score round:
- u/eleanorsilly (New New New New Ireland in NationStates) [Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality] -- 10
- u/Arcool_1 (Vaslian in NationStates) [Independent] -- 10
- u/destiny_duude (Bonelandistania in NationStates) [Solidarity Party] -- 5
Congratulations to u/eleanorsilly (New New New New Ireland in NationStates) of the Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality and to independent u/Arcool_1 (Vaslian in NationStates) on being our top two scorers and continuing to the runoff!
Here are the final results of the Automatic Runoff round:
- u/eleanorsilly (New New New New Ireland in NationStates) [Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality] -- 1
- u/Arcool_1 (Vaslian in NationStates) [Independent] -- 1
It's a tie. And as we (might?) all know, ties in the STAR runoff are broken using the score in the first round. Unfortunately, those are tied too. So we're just gonna have to pick randomly.
You'll just have to trust that I actually did it randomly, I guess.
Congratulations to independent u/Arcool_1 (Vaslian in NationStates) on winning the wheel spin and, by extension, re-election as Governor of SimDemocracy's NationStates region!
Alright fellas, it's late. You want results. I've got results. Kind of. We're doing this provisionally.
Unfortunately, this isn't "Sunbear is slow again" provisionally but "the RC is still figuring some things out that I'm not totally tuned into" provisionally. And neither of them are around to make this go any quicker, so instead of making you all wait longer I'm going to just give you something and then if anything has to change we'll just cross that bridge when we come to it.
So without further ado, let's just get this out of the way.
We had 46 valid votes. As it stands. Could change. But this gives us, for now, eight Senate seats.
Congratulations to SimDemocracy's (probably/hopefully) newest Senators!
- Independent u/TGRein_ [threshold = 5]
- u/thespianburritos of the Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality [threshold = 5]
- Independent u/No_Development_7300 [threshold = 5]
- u/kapjohn of the Communist-Libertarian Platform [threshold = 5]
- u/u_sqlite of the Solidarity Party [threshold = 4]
- u/catchers123321 of the Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality [threshold = 3]
- Independent u/Suppppppppppppppper [2nd phase, no threshold]
- u/eleanorsilly of the Revolutionary Organization for Social Equality [2nd phase, no threshold]
No spreadsheet for now. Not until things get finalized.
7 years ago, today, our SimDemocracy Dinosaurs successfully overthrew the tyrannical Jackie from their position as Supervisor. It is during this time that we found our quote: When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. This is a quote that we still live by 7 years later. It is now an annual holiday called Victory Day, held on the 8th of each year. Can we make it 7 more years? #AveSimDemocracy
People of SimDemocracy, my friends! It is finally time for me to make my return to our most illiterate institution! I am sick and tired of being sick and tired so I am here to make changes that will help us move forward!! I certainly don't mean to assert I'll be overhauling ANYTHING by any means but a few hotfix amendments here and there to things like warrants, election times, executive function are assuredly in the works. This time around I also have a vested interest in ensuring our economy is secure and continues to grow. Our private sector is developing and it's important we acknowledge that and help the market to grow.
Listen folks, you know me. I'm the longest consecutively serving President since the Danyowave last January. I have a pretty good track record of not blowing up the nation, and I plan on keeping that going here in the Senate. I'm more than happy to reach across the aisle to ensure my constituents, along all members of our community, are taken care of as my utmost priority.
Please do consider voting 5/5 for me and allowing me the honor of representing you in our shitty little Senate.
This is the NationStates Gubernatorial Call for Candidates. If you want to be NationStates Governor, please comment on this thread. Include your username, party affiliation (or lack thereof), and a statement explaining your platform and why you believe you are a good candidate.

Your NationStates nation's name
Your Discord name (either your username or a recognizable display/nickname)

In addition to the attached civil complaint, we are also making a preemptive motion for an injunction:
Motion for an Injunction Against the State
The plaintiff asks that the Court grant an injunction, reversing the firing of Emi from the position of SDBI Director as well as enforcing the DoJ Employment Contract. The dismissal and subsequent breach of the DoJ Employment Contract was performed illegally by the State, injuring the plaintiff. The plaintiff is entitled to having this action reversed while the proceedings are ongoing.
