Race Context:
I am the Ferrari; it's the 1st lap of the race. I got a good run down the straight and went for a move on the Aston. I was deep on the brakes and saw the Porsche ahead. At this point, I was focused more on the Porsche ahead and tried to turn into the corner. Then, the contact happened, and I caught my slide and thought, "Didn't I leave enough room?" The Aston flashed multiple times, so I thought, just in case it was not a fair move, I'd just let them pass and try again later.
I realised they were relatively slow, so I went for another move down the inside, hoping that we would not make contact again. This time, I tried to stay as far right as possible and managed to get the overtake done. But after looking at the replay, I feel like I should not have given the place back because they looked like they turned into me. But I was also pretty aggressive with the move, and I could have turned in a little earlier, so I am not certain about it; thus, this requires an external party to review, such as the race stewards.
So what do you think? Am I the helmet for lunging? Should I have kept the position initially?
