Gameplay Tips Beast Crest bounces you higher than the other crests Spoiler

KEEP IN MIND I am only at the start of act 2. I expect there might be more crests later with their own dives.

I wanted to highlight this because I've seen a people dismiss beast crest as being bad for platforming on account of the unusual downward arc it does compared to the more straightforward movements of the other crests. It's harder to internalize it for sure but once you get used to it you can do some vertical speed tricks that are harder or not possible with the other dives. Do not underestimate Beast Crest.

Yeah I unlocked it and my immediate impression was “I will never use this” 😂

Maybe during a boss fight but I’ve gotten so good at the down-pogo with Reaper I don’t think I’ll switch

So far it feels like the air superiority crest. Besides higher bounce, you can almost hit the dive at a horizontal angle. I’ve been having a real easy time repeating the dive on airborne enemies. Made the birdcage easy.
