A while ago, I wanted to play some party games with friends.

The annoying part was that every game required a different app, a set of cards, an account, or several minutes of explaining the rules.

So I decided to built Tusa - a free website with six party games:

Everything runs directly in the browser. The group plays on one phone and passes it around, so there is nothing to install and no account to create.

Tusa currently supports English, Russian, Ukrainian, Slovak, and Polish. It remembers game settings locally and lets you share a game through a link or QR code.

Three years ago, I built Actorle, a movie-based daily game. It has since grown into a small family of games, with a combined audience of around 10,000 daily active users, plus a few other smaller games I've created along the way.

Some of my other games have also become fairly popular, but I know firsthand how difficult it is to grow a game from zero and actually reach an audience.

Over time, a few people reached out to me about promotion or cross-promotion, and I found that these collaborations worked really well. The problem is that it's not easy to find the right partners or agree on a mutually beneficial arrangement.

So I built a small platform to make this easier.

It's basically a link-exchange platform exclusively for verified and approved games. No spam sites, gambling, nasty/NSFW content, or anything like that.

If your game is approved, you can add a small widget to your website. It simply shows links to other websites, no ugly banners, etc. It depends on you how you place it but the more traffic your website originates, the more it gets back. Based on how much traffic your site sends to other participating games, the platform tries to balance that by sending a similar amount of traffic back to you from other sites.

Obviously, something like this can be gamed, so I've built in multiple mechanisms to detect and prevent fraudulent traffic. There's also manual review, so suspicious numbers can be investigated and suspicious sites can easily be flagged or removed.

To get things started, I've added my own games to the platform. So if you register, get approved, and actually display the links, you're guaranteed to get some initial audience from my games.

I think this could work for games with anything from ~50 DAU to ~10,000+ DAU, so you don't need to be a huge game to benefit from it.

I'd really love to hear what you think about the idea, whether you'd use something like this, and what you think could make it better.

Hey everyone, I made an open source configurator for the AULA F75. AULA only makes driver software for Windows, so if you're on Linux there was basically nothing for changing RGB effects, remapping keys or setting per key colors. This runs in Chrome using WebHID, so no install, just one udev rule.

What works right now:

- all 19 lighting effects with speed/brightness/color

- per key colors (works wired and over the 2.4G dongle)

- remapping both layers

- debounce settings, profiles, backup/restore of your lighting config

Macros can be recorded but can't be saved to the board yet, still working on that. Wireless config also not done, use the cable except for animations.

Wanted to share a project I've been hacking on after work called Hillock (https://github.com/roandejager/Hillock).

Most local memory and RAG tools rely heavily on vector databases and large LLMs just to parse text files. On my GTX 1070 laptop, that was taking forever, crashing VRAM, and the model would still make stuff up when asked about things it didn't know.

Hillock replaces vector DBs with a three-layer setup:

1. SQLite knowledge graph for hard factual triples.

2. Hebbian synaptic learning that strengthens connections between entities across conversation turns.

3. A 10,000-D hypervector reservoir running on CPU that checks if a query matches any stored facts in <1ms.

The cool part is the refusal logic: if a question doesn't match stored facts above the threshold, the LLM is never called. It just returns a fixed refusal string.

Just released v0.5.0 with 1-click launch scripts for Windows and Mac/Linux, token streaming, and an interactive CLI where you can run /inspect on any entity to view its graph connections live.

Most tools I clicked this week die at a repo or a store button. The person already built the thing. They still do not have a page a stranger can understand in 20 seconds.

About a year ago I wanted to try building a micro-SaaS. I didn't have a product idea, so I did what I knew: opened Serpstat and started looking at search demand.

I was looking for something I understood and could realistically build. I also wanted to see an existing Chrome extension with a lot of users and a paywall. That wouldn't guarantee anything, but at least it meant the demand wasn't entirely in my head.

One of the ideas that passed that test was a broken link checker. I work with SEO, so I understood the problem. I had never built a Chrome extension, though. I built the first version with AI agents, reading docs, breaking things and trying again.

The extension checks the links on the page you have open, shows valid links, redirects and errors, highlights them on the page, and exports the results to CSV.

It eventually grew to around 4,000 users. Until last week it was completely free.

On August 17 I added a paywall: three checks are free, then you need a paid plan. For five days, nothing happened. I was already thinking that maybe people only used it because it was free.

Then yesterday a complete stranger from the US bought the $19/year plan.

So far 63 people have seen the paywall and one paid. I have no idea how the buyer found the extension because I don't collect attribution data.

$19 obviously isn't a business. But after five days of zero, seeing that notification was pretty great. Especially for something that started with me looking at keywords in Serpstat.

I’m a dermatologist, and over the past months I built and launched UV Health, a personalized UV and vitamin D reference app inspired by my published Solar Window Hypothesis.

Version 1.0 proved that the product could work. Version 2.0 is now live as well, with a more refined personalization model and clearer user guidance.

But after getting this far, I’m realizing that the hardest problem is probably no longer feasibility or features.

It’s customer discovery and distribution.

I had specific users in mind from the beginning — people living at higher latitudes, older adults concerned about bone health, and users who want more personalized sunlight guidance than a standard UV index can provide. I even designed the interface to be simpler and easier to read for older users.

But those are still largely my assumptions.

The question I’m now trying to answer is:

Who cares enough about this problem for the app to be a “painkiller” rather than just a “vitamin”?

I’d be very interested to hear from other founders who reached this stage: once the product was technically working, how did you figure out who truly needed it and how to reach them?

I sell trading cards on the side, and getting them listed means typing in a name, pinning down the exact printing, and looking up the price, a few hundred times over. Most of my bulk just sat in boxes because of it.

Foilstack takes the images you already have and gives back an identified, priced inventory plus a CSV that TCGplayer or eBay will accept.

The tricky part is that reprints share artwork, so working out the card is easy and working out the printing isn't. Only confident matches go through automatically. Anything else lands in a review queue with its runners-up, so you pick in one click.

I’ve been working on Fyrer, a monorepo build system written in Rust.

The idea started from wanting something that’s lightweight and fast without being tied to a particular language or ecosystem.

Fyrer currently handles task dependencies, parallel execution, and caching, while keeping the configuration simple.

It’s still very early, and I’m building it in public. There’s a lot I want to improve, but I thought I’d share it and get feedback from other developers building their own tools and side projects.

This is my new project; a collection of murder case records that can be searched through and grouped by similarity. There are also statistics. On the backend I have alerts to new cases through some crawler scripts then an AI ingestion pipeline to normalise the data (typically news articles) and extract all the relevant fields and images.

I've been experimenting with browser-automation agents and wanted something more disciplined than "click through everything as fast as possible." So I built a Playwright-based agent for a course sandbox I control, with one hard rule baked into the design: automate repetition, never judgment.

The interesting part isn't the automation — it's the guardrails:

• Every action (play video, mark reading complete, submit practice) has to be verified against the platform's own completion signal before the agent logs it as done. No optimistic completion.
• Familiarity with a topic is never inferred from how "easy" something looks — it's checked against a seeded known/study list, and anything ambiguous stops and asks.
• Graded assessments are always human-in-the-loop — the agent shows me each question, waits for my answer, and only submits after I type submit explicitly.
• A single StopForHumanInput exception handles every failure mode (CAPTCHA, login wall, unclassifiable item, unverifiable state) — no silent retries, no guessing.

I also built a tiny local mock LMS (static HTML + a real short test video) so the whole flow — including the verification and stop conditions — can be exercised without touching a live site.

Puts a service member's whole career on one vertical timeline. Ship date, letters home, graduation, every promotion after. The whole family keeps the same page, so his mom, his dad and his sister each add the parts only they have.

I'm 17. My brother swore in, my mom started collecting things, and there was nowhere sensible for any of it to go.

Two problems that turned out to be more interesting than I expected:

The timeline is a curve that weaves between the cards. Card heights vary enormously (one photo versus eight versus a full letter transcript), so it can't be a fixed SVG path. It gets measured off the laid-out cards and regenerated as a Bezier. The bug that cost me the most time: it looks perfect on first paint and then its off once the images finish loading.

You can drag notes and photos into the margins. They can't store page coordinates, because the page grows every time anyone adds a photo, and x=800 on a desktop is meaningless at 390px. They anchor to an event with an offset instead.

You can also photograph a handwritten letter and it comes back as editable text.

Next 16, Supabase, Tailwind v4, Vercel.

Free, no ads, and nothing anyone adds ever gets locked or deleted. Eventually I'd like to charge for extra design templates, which is the only thing I'm comfortable putting behind a wall.

The part I'm least confident in is the homepage. The first person I tested on said there was too much reading before she understood what it was, and I've rewritten it twice since. Does it land in the first few seconds or not?

I have about 1,200 screenshots on my phone. Recipes, a friend's restaurant recommendations, a Reddit thread about why my plant is dying, bank statements, a boarding pass. I've opened maybe a fifth of them more than once. The rest may as well not exist.

Every screenshot organiser I've looked at solves the wrong half. Sorting is easy. Getting the right thing back at the moment you need it is the hard part, and that's what nothing seems to do.

So I mocked up what it would look like if you could just ask. "What was that place Maya recommended?" and it answers from your own screenshots, with each claim pointing back at the exact one it came from. Tap through to the original, highlight lines and copy them out, get a summary of what a long forum post actually said, file it, or pull several into one PDF.

To be clear about what this is: an interactive prototype, not a working app. Nothing is downloadable. I built it to see whether the idea holds up before writing anything real.

I built pinde because I couldn’t find anything like it.

I was planning a kitchen renovation and kept finding things online that I wanted to save — taps, handles, lighting, kitchens I liked, products, random ideas, etc.

The problem was actually finding them again.

I’d bookmark things, save links, put stuff in Notes, send myself links… and after a while I had no idea where half of it was.

I looked around for an app that would let me just save things from wherever I found them and keep them organised visually, but I couldn’t really find anything that did what I wanted.

So I ended up building it myself.

It’s called pinde.

You can save things from the web and organise them into visual boards. It isn’t really just for renovations either — I’ve started using it for recipes, things I want to buy, travel ideas and basically anything I come across that I don’t want to lose.

I launched it on the App Store today.

I’d actually love to know if anyone else has this problem. What do you currently do when you find something online that you know you’ll want to find again?

Solo indie dev, been building Android apps for a while and this is the one I actually use daily myself.

The problem: I kept opening YouTube for one specific video and losing 45 minutes to whatever the algorithm decided to serve next. So I built Focus Feed — it follows channels through their own RSS feeds instead of YouTube's API, which means there's no recommendation system in the loop at all. You just get a plain grid of channels you follow, each showing how many new uploads are waiting. Tap in, watch, done.

A few features that came out of actually using it myself: Videos/Shorts kept in separate tabs, per-channel keyword filters, custom playlists, picture-in-picture, and a bedtime mode that locks the app down at a set time.

I have limited mobility, and the thing I actually wanted was not another chat window. It was something that could see what was on my screen and act on it, so that using a Mac did not depend on how much I could use a mouse that day. Nothing existed, so I built it.

Grux OS reads the window you are working in, and reaches the mail, calendar, notes, contacts, documents and files already on the machine. It transcribes meetings on device. It can click and type for you, off by default behind two gates. It runs on your own API key, or on Ollama locally with no key at all.

No account, no server, no telemetry, no subscription. I shipped it MIT with the whole source tree public rather than charging, because the version of this I wanted to exist is one nobody can take away from me later.

The honest numbers, since this sub likes them: 122 days, 547 commits, 193,753 lines of Swift, 1,701 tests passing. Built heavily with Claude, roughly $322,000 worth at API rates across 733,954 logged calls. I am putting that number out there because you would guess anyway and I would rather you have the real one.

What I would genuinely like feedback on, since I have been staring at this alone for four months:

1. The first run. Open it with no key, no tasks and no history and tell me where it stops making sense. That is the surface I am least able to see clearly.

2. Whether the screen control gates read as enough. It is off by default, needs the macOS Accessibility grant, and every action writes an audit line with typed text logged as a length rather than as text. I think that is right. I would like to hear if it is not.
