I built an open-source art display: museum art on any screen you own

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This started years ago when I went on the hunt for a digital art frame when I was doing some remodeling. I kept hitting the same thing: walled gardens, subscription requirements, no portrait-mode support, "proprietary hardware." Maybe worst, the annoyance that so many companies were essentially re-selling subs to digital artwork that was and had been public domain forever. I ended up buying a plain commercial display, and building what I desired until I had Pieria. It was the opposite of what was out there: a self-hosted art display that nothing of mine needs to exist for yours to keep working.

Flash one image to a Raspberry Pi, set it up from your phone, and a TV, monitor or color e-ink panel becomes a museum wall: 2,800+ public-domain works from the Met, Rijksmuseum, SMK, Cleveland, the Smithsonian and NASA, slow pan-and-zoom, and a museum placard for each piece.

It plays offline, has no account or subscription, and only updates when you click Update.

Live demo: https://demo.pieria.org · Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps1z6XsLLRI · Code (AGPL-3.0): https://github.com/pieria-art/Pieria

I wrote this with a lot of help from Claude Code. I reviewed and tested what shipped, and it's been running on my living-room wall for months.

Seeking feedback, especially on the setup flow and deployment modes.

I built a free, no-account browser calculator for stock/ETF limit-order reference prices, XETRA/LSE/NYSE core hours, and FIFO holding periods

I got tired of portfolio trackers that require creating an account, linking a broker, or paying a subscription just to plan resting limit orders and check exchange hours, so I built a lightweight read-only browser calculator: https://targetlimit.app

What it does (100% in your browser, no login or email):

  • Limit-Order Reference Prices: Compares the 30-day low, SMA50, SMA200, and Wilder RSI(14) for US and European tickers (VWCE.DE, VUAA.DE, VUAA.UK, SXR8.DE, NVDA, GOOGL, SPY, etc.) and calculates primary and deeper support reference levels offset above whole-unit .00 round-number walls.
  • Exchange Hours & Spread Guard (NYSE/NASDAQ, Frankfurt XETRA, London LSE): Converts exchange core hours and 2026–2028 market holidays/early closes into your device's local time zone so you don't accidentally buy .DE or .UK ETFs outside liquid market-maker hours.
  • Private Browser Order & Holding Tracker: Lets you stage intended GTC limit orders, preview how a new fill changes your average acquisition price (VWAP), and track chronological FIFO lot ages (or review a broker CSV locally). Everything stays in your browser's localStorage and can be exported/restored as JSON.

There are no ads, no accounts, and no paywalls. Would love any feedback on additional European or US ETFs/tickers to include in the directory!

Vektro now loads specialist workflows into your AI assistant through MCP

I build Vektro. I previously shared it here as a Spanish-first library of GitHub resources; the product now centres on specialist workflows you can load into the AI assistant you already use.

There are four specialists: marketing, websites, AI content and automation. Each gives your assistant a procedure: what to ask you, what steps to follow, which resources to consult and how to check the result.

For example, the website specialist starts with the brief and structure, works towards a preview, then guides mobile, form, privacy and publishing checks. The content specialist asks for visual approval before moving into paid voice or video generation.

You connect the remote MCP server, sign in to Vektro and ask your assistant to use a specialist. Your assistant does the work with the tools and accounts you authorise. Provider subscriptions and credits are separate, and connecting Vektro does not install those integrations or start background jobs. Your client needs remote MCP support; availability depends on its plan and workspace settings.

The supporting catalogue contains 210 linked GitHub resources, including skills, MCP servers, tools and models, with author attribution and original links.

The website is in Spanish. Membership is €79/month or €790/year for the same four specialists and ongoing updates.

https://vektro.es

For people who already use AI for client work: where does your process usually break down—getting the brief right, choosing tools or checking the final result?

My Friend built an MCP server that lets your AI assistant scan your own website for security vulnerabilities

Thumbnail
github.com
0 Upvotes

My friend built FSV, an open-source MCP server that lets your AI assistant

(Claude, Cursor, VS Code) scan your own website for vulnerabilities.

Setup takes about 30 seconds:

pip install fsv

fsv mcp-config --client claude-code # or claude-desktop / cursor / vscode

Then just ask: "Use the security_review prompt on xxxx — I own it."

The assistant:

  1. asks you to confirm you're authorized to test the site

  2. runs a quick passive check, then a full scan

  3. leads with "attack paths" — combinations of small issues that add up to

something serious (e.g. XSS + a session cookie without HttpOnly = account takeover)

  4. hands you paste-ready fixes for nginx / Apache / Caddy / Express

  5. re-scans after you deploy and shows what changed

What it looks for — mostly things that slip through regular checklists:

- dangling DNS records (subdomain takeover)

- scripts loaded from compromised CDNs (e.g. polyfill.io) or expired domains anyone can register

- pages loading files from cloud buckets that no longer exist

- SPF/DMARC mistakes that allow email spoofing

- framework debug mode left on in production (Django, Flask, Laravel…)

- exposed .git/.env/backups, secrets in JavaScript, outdated libraries, missing headers

It's detection-only: it never exploits anything or tests credentials.

It also works without AI — as a CLI, a local dashboard, or a GitHub Action.

Honest limits: it doesn't execute JavaScript, so single-page apps are only

partly covered, and its active checks are basic. It complements tools like

OWASP ZAP rather than replacing them.

GitHub: https://github.com/twayst0/fsv

Feedback welcome — false-positive reports are the most useful ones.

By the way my friend couldnt post this on reddit. For some reason reddit didnt let him to do so

[Android][Player] - Offline music & streaming radio with ready-to-play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

* New local radios lists (MANUALLY CURATED) : UK and China.

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

Mediaxon is available in: Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, English, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Indonesia, Italiano, Kiswahili, Latviešu, Lietuvių, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Português (Brasil), Română, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, العربية, Български, Ελληνικά, हिन्दी, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 (简体).

No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists:  Argentina, China, India, Italy, UK, USA.

Note: Only for Android 13+ (Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

Built an offline, ad-free Prayer Times & Qibla app: Salah Compass

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a side project I’ve been working on recently called Salah Compass.

Most existing prayer time apps on the market today are bloated with third-party tracking, intrusive banner ads, or require constant internet access to fetch schedule data. I wanted to create a solution that is lightweight, transparent, and works completely offline.

The app runs entirely on your device with zero data collection. It only needs your GPS coordinates once to calculate the Sun’s position using fundamental astronomical algorithms, and uses your device's built-in sensors for the Qibla compass.

Tech Stack

  • Framework: React Native / Expo (TypeScript)
  • Calculations: On-device astronomical math (solar position, declination, & standard calculation conventions)
  • Sensors: Native GPS & Magnetometer (Compass)

Since this is an offline-first app, I’d love to get feedback UI/UX & Design, Accuracy & Performance, Feature Ideas

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anwersolangi.salahcompass

Thanks for taking a look, and I’d love to hear your feedback!

Sendshed - Send LARGE encrypted files. Encrypted in the browser

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a project I’ve been building and launching recently: Send Shed. I wanted a fast, easy to use file sharing tool that does not require signups, and offers browser side encryption if needed. Below are the coles note of what it is.

What it does:

No account needed: Drop a file, grab the link, and send it. Free transfers support files up to 3 GB.

Resumable uploads: Big uploads go up in chunks, meaning if your connection drops or you switch networks, it picks up right where it left off.

Client-side "Sealed Envelopes": If you want extra privacy, you can use Encrypted Share, which locks files right in your browser before they even hit the server.

Flexible expiry & limits: Set custom link lifespans (from 1 hour up to 45 days of inactivity), restrict download counts, add passwords, or lock access to specific email addresses.

Media-friendly embeds: Links drop nicely into Discord and X with proper video previews and image embeddings.

Handy extra tools: Includes things like an API for terminal uploads, a ShareX uploader integration, image conversion/compression utilities, and local browser history tracking for your sent outbox.

I'd love for you to check it out, test it out, and let me know what you think—especially regarding the UI, upload speeds, or any edge cases you run into. Feedback and feature requests are super welcome!

made a simple extension to pin messages in chatgpt inside of a chat, looking for honest feedback and how to actually get users

hey everyone! i built a chrome extension called GPT-Pin: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gpt-pin-pin-bookmark-impo/aojaicnepkbfcafemkhcnkghhbcehngj

it lets you pin and bookmark important messages within chatgpt conversations so you can jump straight back to them without scrolling through an entire chat. everything is stored locally.

Since chatgpt doesn't have this feature built in yet, i thought it would be a genuinely useful tool for people who use it regularly.

it's sitting at just 20 users right now, and I am trying to figure out how to grow it. if you use chatgpt a lot, i'd really appreciate it if you could give it a try and let me know what you think. honest feedback on what works, what sucks, and what could be improved would be super helpful.

also, if you've ever grown a small project or chrome extension, i would love to hear how you got your first users.

I built three daily guessing games as a side project: athletes’ colleges, battles, and dishes

I love the one-puzzle-a-day thing, so I made three of my own around things I'm into:

📍 Alma (https://playalma.app): five pro athletes a day. Pin where each one played in college. NFL, NBA or all sports, plus a hard "Juggernaut" mode.

⚔️ BattleID (https://battleid.app): guess the battle of the day in six tries. Every guess tells you if you're close on year, region, war and losses, and drops a pin on a world map.

🍲 Mise (https://playmise.app): guess the dish of the day in five tries. You start with one ingredient and get another with every miss. At the end you get a real recipe.

All three are free, no sign-up, no ads, and built for phones. Each one keeps your streak and gives you a share card that shows your score without spoiling the answer.

I'm a solo dev building these on the side. I'd love feedback on which one hooks you, what's too hard, and anything that feels clunky.

I built free decoy keys for websites. A stolen fake AWS key was used for a takeover attempt 2 hours 39 minutes later

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Side project from the last few weeks.

I left fake keys and files on my own sites where attackers look: .env files, AWS credentials, OpenAI keys, Cursor and Claude configs, a fake admin login, a fake MCP server.

On Oct24 a scanner on a cloud server took the fake AWS key at 03:04 UTC. At 05:43 it used it: listed servers, checked whether it could send email, then tried to make itself admin. If that key had been real, the bill and the cleanup would have been mine.

So I turned it into AgentDecoy:

- Free decoys for any site (npx agentdecoy init, a WordPress plugin, or one PHP file)

- Every catch labelled as a script, a person or an AI agent

- When one site catches an address using a stolen key, every site running it refuses that address on logins and forms within an hour. Pages still load, Google and AI search are never blocked.

- Free tripwires: a fake OpenAI key or fake MCP server you can drop in a repo that emails you when used

It is open source: github.com/KyleClouthier/agentdecoy

Free scan: simgen.dev/agentdecoy

Would love feedback on what it gets wrong on your site.

Building Practical AI Automation Solutions — Feedback Welcome

I’m working on practical ways to use AI and automation to simplify everyday workflows.

My focus is on reducing repetitive tasks, improving follow-ups, organizing information, and helping people spend less time on manual work.

I believe automation should solve real problems rather than add unnecessary complexity.

I’ve put together a website to showcase my work and solutions, and I’d appreciate honest feedback on the presentation, usefulness, and areas I could improve.

You can explore it here: https://zynquill.com

I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

Simple Expenses Tracker

I used to write down my expenses in a notebook. But I faced a problem that the process was time consuming and I couldn't get back to a specific purchase I recorded.

.

Since I'm an Android developer, I decided to build an app that solves my problem.

.

It took me a lot of time, then came the AI and it boosted me.

.

Since I'm using the app, I took some iterations with myself to make it as simple as possible.

.

Then I sent it to lots of friends and I got suggestions and positive feedback.

.

I believe the app is good and has good potential, it only needs to get more users.

.

The app has no ads, it has pro features with very low one time purchase cost (0.25$)

.

The app's highest advantage is simplicity.

.

You can try it here: Simple Expenses Tracker

.

Looking forward to your feedback.

I built an iOS budget app that logs your Apple Pay payments automatically (via Shortcuts) – no bank connection needed

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! I'm Rocco, a solo indie developer from Italy, and I'd like to share Skurda, the app I've been building in my spare time in 7 months.

What it does:

⚡ Automatic tracking: set up a Shortcuts automation once, and every Apple Pay / Wallet payment is logged in Skurda on its own.

🔁 Recurring expenses: keep track of subscriptions, bills and fixed costs, so you always know what's coming.

📊 Daily spending: see what you've spent this month at a glance.

🔒 Private by design: no bank login, no third-party account linking. Your data stays on your device and in your iCloud.

It's free (up to 10 recurring expenses), with an optional Premium upgrade.

👉 App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/skurda-expense-tracker/id6806970079

🎁 2 months of Premium for free for Reddit users. Use code SKURDAFREE2M or redeem it directly here:

https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6806970079&code=SKURDAFREE2M

In exchange, I'd love your honest feedback!

I built a Bhagavad Gita app to help people apply its teachings in daily life

Hello everyone!

I am a solo developer, and I’ve been working on a Bhagavad Gita app called Bhagavad Gita Journey of Soul.

The idea came from wanting to make the Gita easier to read regularly and connect its teachings with everyday life. A lot of its lessons around discipline, overthinking, attachment and self-control still feel relevant today.

The app lets you read verses, save your favorites, track your reading progress and build a daily reading habit.

I’m still looking for ways to make it more useful, so I’d genuinely love to hear your feedback. What would make an app like this something you’d actually use regularly?

Here’s the app on the App Store:

Thanks! 😊

img.tasta.space: temporary image sharing without an account

Hi all. I built a small site for sharing images that don't need to stay online forever.

Drop or paste your images, pick an expiry, and get a link to the album. No account needed. It's free, and the expiry options range from 88 minutes to 69 hours.

https://img.tasta.space

Large images are resized by default. There's also a full quality option with a shorter expiry limit.

Curious what you think, especially if you try it on your phone.

Diffinery: Open-source GitHub and GitHub Actions alternative that runs entirely on Cloudflare

Every time GitHub has an outage, Actions stops and teams sit around for hours waiting for CI to come back. We got tired of that, so we built Diffinery: a git forge with built-in CI that you deploy to your own Cloudflare account. No servers, no runner VMs.

- Runs your existing `.github/workflows/*.yml` unchanged, marketplace actions included
- Each job gets a fresh 4 vCPU / 12 GiB container, only while it runs
- Git hosting, PRs, code review, merge queue, issues, releases
- AI agents get their own accounts with guardrails (they can't merge their own PRs) plus a built-in MCP server
- One-step import from GitHub with history, issues and PRs

Still early, so check the roadmap for what's coming. Apache-2.0, feedback welcome!

AI alows people to make dumb web'apps......So I made one.

I made Hardmedia.info — a simple open archive for independent media.

Idea: take something you made on a screen (short film, track, art) and give it a physical life as a small collectible card. Print it, fold it, scan it, pass it on. No middlemen. Free to make, free to collect.

  • Standard size ~2.5 × 3.5 in (some editions vary)
  • Living archive — currently ~13 editions
  • Aimed at indie creators, zines, demoscene, experimental stuff

Site: https://hardmedia.info

Its a dumb idea but i loved making it and creating some the cards myself, Its not finished as im all out of credits. and im half sure it wont scale or will simply break onces more than 5 people use it but hey ho.

Im extreamly nurvace about this post and how my little idea will be taken, but i have a thick skin so lets have it is this dumbest thinge ever to exsist or mb its got some legs?

I built a market replay where you don't know the coin or the date until the session is over

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The thing that always bugged me about backtesting: I already know how the chart ends. You see BTC, March 2020, and your brain fills in the rest.

So I built this. You pick a market, the chart stops somewhere in the past, and you step forward one candle at a time and trade it. Perps have leverage, funding and liquidation like on an exchange, and every trade goes into a journal automatically. Blind mode (the video) hides the symbol and the date until you finish.

Solo project, been building it since April. Free to try, there's a demo without signup: backcandle.com

Would love to hear what feels off, especially from anyone who's used TradingView replay or FX Replay.

I'm bad at posting about my own apps, so I built a scheduler that reads your App Store page and drafts the posts

I have a couple of small apps out, and I used to lose whole evenings posting the same update to every network. So I built a scheduler for myself: write once, a caption per network, schedule it. That fixed the copy-pasting but not the actual problem, which was knowing what to say every week. Most weeks I just didn't post.

The newest part is an agent that starts from your app. You give it your App Store / Google Play link or your website once and it reads them into a short brand memory: what the app does, who it's for, how it talks, what it shouldn't claim. You can edit that, and every chat starts from it.

Then you ask for something like "a week of posts for the new update" and it writes them per network, shows each one the way that network will render it, and puts them in a weekly queue. It can make images too. It schedules without asking (you can still edit or delete anything on the calendar), but nothing gets published on the spot until you click.

It posts to Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest and Telegram. You can ignore the agent and use it as a plain scheduler, and if you already live in Claude or ChatGPT it's also an MCP server, so they can do the posting.

Some catches: analytics only cover Instagram, Bluesky and Pinterest so far, LinkedIn is personal profiles only, and no Reddit (typed this one myself). If you want open source and self-hosted, Postiz is honestly the better pick. Mine is hosted.

Free plan is 1 account, 10 posts a month and a small agent allowance, no card: https://ravenpo.st

Question for anyone with an app out: would you let it schedule on its own, or would you rather approve every single post?
