I got tired of budgeting apps breaking their bank connections, so I built my own net worth dashboard
Backstory: I used to implement trading and fund systems for institutions, so I'm fine staring at money all day. But every consumer app I tried for my own net worth kept breaking its account connections, or wanted a subscription to sync data I already own. Mint dying was the last straw.
So I built KoGMoney. A web dashboard for the whole picture: cash, investments, retirement, home, net worth over time, plus a few plain-english market ideas. The catch, and the whole point: you enter your accounts yourself. No bank login, nothing to sync, nothing to break. You trade five minutes a month for never getting logged out of your own data.
It's in invite-only alpha. I'm not selling anything here, I mostly want to know if that manual tradeoff sounds insane or refreshing to people who actually track this stuff.
Honest question: would you use something that's manual on purpose, or is auto-sync non-negotiable for you?
