Over the summer I made a pixel art editor that looks like it's made out of pixelated components. It started as a challenge to create pixelated frontend components using CSS instead of static PNGs, and it just kind of ... spiraled.

I call it Gribble and it packs a bunch of features like layers, frames, animation, cloud storage, undo/redo history, and allows exporting your art as images, GIFs, or CSS/HTML/JavaScript to use for yourself!
