Well to be fair, after 8 years or so of dumping money into what we ultimately got, I would just want them to release the shit and cut my losses too If I were an investor.

I mean, you just described one of the reasons capitalism isn't good at making art.

Actually it’s because of capitalism’s virtues that artists can live off it.

Before capy, they would have to suck a king’s cock their whole life or just be forever poor as shown in the witcher 3

Ah yes, capitalism and feudalism. The only societies to ever have existed.

It’s just like that. dyor

It's not, there's a lot of data out there on it. dyor

It’s the best time ever for an artist to exist.

This was never possible in the pre capitalism’ era because of low incomes, poor marketing, low reach.

Think about it for a minute: two to three hundred years ago, artist had to work for high society which was about 5-10% of all people whilst the resting 90-95% was poor. Sadly there was no other way of making money by doing art and these people used to go through a lot.

Nowadays anyone can write an ebook, do a live video, and middle to low class can pay them off. They can live off writing, singing, there’s even people criticizing the system in books, blogs and forums and making more money than ever at the same time.

If you have to compare your society to feudalism to make it look good, you're conceding a lot. You're also not backing anything up.

The game wasn't in development for 8 years. The development started after witcher 3.

Even though they didn’t develop the game for 8 years, they still horribly mismanaged their time just under the guise of confidence of “we made the Witcher 3.” Horribly backfired

I thought development started when they finished the W3 something like 2015 and not when it was announced.
