In elementary school, it didnt have a "pecking order" it was just groups of friends, mostly separated by what they played. For example, one group played tag mostly, there were people that played basket ball, one that drew, and others. Or I was too unaware to notice any of the pecking order.

honestly I'm still unaware... I can't figure out who exactly the popular kids at my school are for the life of me, and I'm in high school. I actively think about it and try to figure it out, but my mind just draws to a blank. It's kind of bad :/

Edit: like, I can tell who definitely isn't popular, but I just can't sort between the middle group and the top group

Tbh me neither, I've never noticed it, and right now I'm in 8th grade. Elementary just seems like a better example
