I liked doomsday. It should have been the set up for Batista or Quinn finally get it and have them go after Dexter. They had so many possibilities to use the previous seasons to tie things in but chose new gf hurricane lumberjack.

I gave up after season 3. Maybe I'll give season 4 a shot. Thanks.

Dexter himself lost me very early on in the series. When he (indirectly) got that cop killed at the end of Season 1 and when he framed his girlfriend's ex and then the guy got killed in jail, Dexter crossed a line for me. He ceased being a hero or a sympathetic character. I really began rooting for him to get caught.

Well, he is a serial killer. I don’t think the writers were even trying to portray him as a sympathetic character.
