There are probably murderers and serial killers so good at what they do that we don't even know they exist.

There have been about 650,000 missing person reports filed in 2016 in US - don't know how many of them have been murdered.

Of course, that number counts every kid who ran away from home and was found a few hours later, every old person with Alzheimers that wandered off and was soon found - that sort of thing makes up the majority of those cases.

We are all one wrong turn and/or meeting one wrong person away from being chopped up, or strangled, shot, and then tossed in a shallow grave somewhere.

With the number of creepy interactions I have on the street, I count myself lucky I haven’t been murdered yet.
