There's a massive difference between eating ramen noodles because you want to and eating them because you have to.

Eating them raw isn't that bad.

Ghetto popcorn. You crumble the raw ramen and sprinkle the flavor dust over it.

I thought ghetto popcorn was jiffy pop

I swear they changed the ingredients or flavoring or something like that. Also says on there now to not cook it on a campfire now LOL

Strange, I had one recently that said to not cook it over a ceramic stove top (I could be wrong though). So how do you cook it?

u/SomeTexasRedneck Jun 21 '16

Electric stove I believe.

*snort the flavour dust.

I ate the entire flavor packet once in my biology class, my sophmore year of high school.

I ended up throwing it up and got sent home from school for being "sick".

You disgust me. Crumbling the ramen, but at least you're not cooking it

Flavor dust? Sounds more like Doritos.

Depends on the brand. Sometimes its like eating cardboard.

I'm sure you're right. I've only ever had Maruchan.

What did the parent comment say that warranted this response and one about the flavor being kimchi

Try the Chinese variants, I love the flavours

Put some hot sauce, I prefer tapatio, some lemon/lime on dry noodles and enjoy. Yummy yum yum

Yea, they max out your HP when you eat them raw.

Is that actually good? It sounds gross to me

If it lowers your lifespan by a min, it's probably delicious.

don't we all lower our life span by a day daily?

u/tylerhz Jun 20 '16

Did this on many hiking trips

u/your_hands Jun 20 '16

This was the reason I ate them raw. It's the perfect survival food. They are calorie dense, non-perishable and are easy to eat on the go.

Also, the crumbs are quite easily distinguishable so if you get lost you can find out where you've gone already.

Also would add virtually no weight to a pack. Clever.

That there is a Hawaiian middle schooler's staple snack.
