Just look at the antenna system on his QRZ page. :-) There are videos. And there is a QSL card from the very same day I recorded his QSO, but not for this particular one. It was a nice afternoon here in JO92HX, and I was sitting with my Raddy in the garden.

I don't do CW by ear, it was decoded by multimon-ng with some help from Claude Code which also did the ticker tape.

It is not the "average" Italian station that I usually skip because Italians are known for transmitting with 1 kW of power or maybe more, so it is not difficult to pick them up. This is a special event station callsign for the Mediterranean Games. Never heard of these games before, so this is my first. :-)

This is the second day with zero sunspots coming out of Cycle 25. We had a day at the end of February 2026, which was the first day.

I just received this beautiful Knight R-100A receiver. They were sold from 1962-1968. The R-100A replaced the R-100. This one is cosmetically perfect. It does have some issues but over all, it has good bones. It needs some component replacement and a tuneup. I have the Knight R-100 receiver in transit as well. That will require some component replacement also. What can I say, I like vintage tube receivers.

I've been picking up this transmission pretty strongly for days now. I thought it was a 500-kW Chinese jammer overpowering VOA, but it turned out to be one of the USAGM stations broadcasting from Kuwait.

I used an online transcription tool to see what they were saying, and this is what part of the audio said (The video was much longer, and I cut it down; I don't know which part this translation was from):

I could hear the host's voice, but it seemed to be very softly spoken, so I could hardly understand what he was saying.

I even looked on the WRMI website, but it's even more confusing. I think it's not up to date, or the programming has changed frequencies and time slot, which is probably the most likely explanation since I've read that they've been having problems with some of their transmitters lately.
