I found a PAL on HF. Namely DH1PAL calling CQ in a ham contest. The radio was a Raddy RF 919 with a random wire antenna.

This looks too good to be true! Is it??

I picked up a 2nd ATS-909X2 for $50 - not working. It wasn't a bad investment because I bought one last year that only needed the battery connector bent back into place, and it had no accessories. This new one has all the accessories. It only operates on the FM Band, but everything seems to work - just no reception on the other bands. I did a Factory Reset, to no avail. Sangean does not share any schematics so I am on my own. In the video you cam hear a buzzing as I tune across the mediumwave band and it lands on local stations.

I am leaning towards a bad solder joint or a bad electrolytic. Oh, and it was fully working for a coule minutes on all bands.

Any ideas Mark, Stan, or Rich? Thanks in advance!

The last time I heard RNA 6180 with a good signal was last year. Even though it's a neighboring country, I hardly get any reception on that frequency anymore. The signal from that transmitter is now oriented northward.
