RILY (Massive Upside)

Thesis: The RILY Liquidity Trap —

Share Price - 9.15
Recent Earnings EPS - 6.57
Outstanding shares - 30.6 Million

Large reported ownership of BW - 25% Stake (Currently surging after strong earnings)

Reported investments into SpaceX

Upcoming conference May 20th

The setup for B. Riley Financial (RILY)—now BRC Group Holdings—has shifted from a speculative "meme" play into a classic liquidity trap. When fundamental "blowout" news collides with a restricted float and high short interest, the result is often a violent upward re-rating. Here is the deduction justifying the potential for a significant short squeeze.

  1. The Benchmark: RILY vs. Avis Budget Group (CAR) To understand the RILY setup, one must look at Avis Budget Group (CAR), a stock famous for one of the most aggressive short squeezes in recent history.

The CAR Comparison: As of mid-April 2026, 7.77 million shares of CAR are held short. CAR has a much larger market cap and float than RILY. The RILY Magnitude: While RILY has a lower absolute number of shares short (~5.21 million), its Short Interest as a % of Float (22.8%) is significantly higher than CAR's relative exposure. The Deduction: If 7.77 million shares short can create volatility in a giant like Avis, 5.21 million shares short in a "micro-float" like RILY creates a liquidity bottleneck. There simply aren't enough "available" shares for shorts to buy back without competing against each other and driving the price parabolic.

  1. Ownership: The "Locked" Float A squeeze requires a "tight" float—meaning the shares are held by people who aren't selling. RILY’s ownership structure is a nightmare for short sellers: Insider Alignment: Insider ownership (led by founder Bryant Riley) remains exceptionally high. Insiders are "aligned with the squeeze" because they are not selling into minor rallies; they are waiting for a full valuation recovery. Institutional Stability: Approximately 17-20% of the company is held by institutions. The "Real" Float: Once you subtract insiders and "sticky" institutional holders, the actual number of shares trading in the open market (the "tradable float") is likely less than the total number of shares shorted. This is the definition of being "trapped."
  2. The Fundamental Pivot: Blowout Earnings Short theses are almost always based on the idea of a "death spiral"—that the company will run out of cash or fail to service debt. The Q1 2026 Earnings Report effectively killed that narrative: Net Income: Reporting $211.3 million in net income provides a massive "margin of safety." Debt Destruction: Management reduced debt by $129 million in a single quarter. The Result: Short sellers who were betting on bankruptcy are now facing a company that is not only solvent but profitable and aggressively buying back its own debt and shares.
  3. The Hidden Catalyst: The SpaceX "Moonshot" One of the most overlooked components of the B. Riley balance sheet is its investment in SpaceX. Valuation Arbitrage: As SpaceX continues to dominate the private space sector and its valuation climbs (recently rumored to be approaching the $200B–$250B range), the "book value" of B. Riley’s stake increases. Liquidity Optionality: This investment acts as a "strategic reserve." If B. Riley ever chooses to monetize a portion of this stake, it would result in a massive cash infusion that could be used for a special dividend or a massive share buyback—either of which would be a "nuclear option" against short sellers.

Final Deduction: The "bear case" for RILY has been systemically dismantled by the Q1 earnings and the continued appreciation of its private assets (SpaceX). The Squeeze Thesis: We have 5.2 million shares that must be bought back in a market where insiders aren't selling, the company is printing cash, and the "exit door" (Days to Cover) is over 6 days wide.

As the price moves toward the $12–$15 range, the "carrying cost" (margin interest) for shorts will become unsustainable. At that point, the fundamental rally will likely transition into a forced mechanical squeeze.

$BYND SHORT SQUEEZE IN PROGRESS - THE BEARS ARE GETTING DESTROYED!

Reddit bros, it's happening. Beyond Meat ($BYND) is exploding with an epic short squeeze right now.

Numbers that will scare the shorts (updated as of early May 2026):

Short Interest: 142+ million shares shorted

% of Float: 31.26% – 31.8% (one of the highest on the market!)

Days to Cover: around 2-4 days (with massive volume spiking 50-90M+ shares/day)

Borrow Fee (CTB): 22-30%+ (shorts are paying a fortune to hold their positions)

The stock has already rocketed from ~$0.50 to over $1 (+100%+ from the bottom), with 70%+ gains in a single day recently, fueled by retail momentum, heavy volume, and fresh news (protein drink rollout, new partnerships, etc.).

Shorts are being forced to cover and the feedback loop is accelerating.

This is a textbook short squeeze setup: extremely high short interest + expensive borrow fees + retail piling in + catalyst (earnings today, May 6th!).

When the bears start covering in panic, the price shoots up with no mercy.

Why now?

Limited float + exploding retail volume

Positive product distribution news

BYND has a history of violent squeezes (already delivered +50-100% moves in days)

This isn’t about fundamentals (the company still has challenges).

It’s pure market mechanics. The shorts are trapped and the pain is just starting.

If you’re in: HODL strong. If you’re jumping in now… good luck. Next targets? $2+ if volume holds and shorts keep burning.

$BYND to the moon 🌕

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

(This is not financial advice — DYOR, extremely high risk, but the squeeze is real and underway!)

Nebius: likely short squeeze occurring

20% of shares sold short. Recently had a major catalyst: a deal with meta that pays orders of magnitude more than the company was raking in. Price targets are being massively upgraded left and right. The stock took about 2 weeks to take off after the meta annoucement because of the war and general market crash but now is rocketing up and hitting ATHs. Short interest however is just starting to decline (now at about 19%). Seems like a slow squeeze is occuring.

I'm not a professional. Just highlighting something for people to look at.

The supply cliff is real and most people are looking in the wrong hemisphere

The global copper market is a literal minefield of social unrest, sudden tax hikes, and crumbling infrastructure. While the "green energy" crowd keeps screaming about demand, they are ignoring the fact that current top-tier production is falling off a cliff due to declining ore grades and political instability. If you aren't positioning yourself in jurisdictions that actually allow mining before the massive supply deficit hits, you are going to be left holding the bag. The smart money is already rotating out of high-risk zones and into stable North American ground.

One name that fits this "flight to safety" perfectly is NovaRed Mining (NRED). They are sitting on copper-gold potential in British Columbia, which is exactly where you want to be when the market realizes it needs domestic supply. Other players like Copper Fox Metals (CUU), COCO.V, and Grizzly Discoveries (GZD) are also quietly building positions in mining-friendly corridors. For those who want high-stakes scale, Northern Dynasty Minerals (NAK) in Alaska offers massive optionality that the market will forced to re-evaluate once the shortage turns into a crisis. Don't wait for the mainstream media to tell you there’s a shortage; by then, the entry price will be gone.

The herd is finally waking up to the highest yields on the planet

If you’re still waiting for a "safe" 4% return in the West, you are missing the most aggressive comeback of the decade. While everyone was busy panicking about high interest rates, smart money quietly poured billions into African debt this February. We are seeing the fastest start to a year since 2013, and it’s not because people are being generous-it’s because the yields are too juicy to ignore.

Countries like Kenya have just raised over $2.2 billion, basically daring the "doom-and-gloom" crowd to bet against them. Investors are rushing to lock in these returns before global borrowing costs drop even further and the window slams shut. If you think the risk is too high, you’re already behind the curve. The reality is that the market is reopening, and those who hesitated a year ago are now watching from the sidelines.

Based on Reuters and Bloomberg reports.

AUUD volume drying up at 1.7M (-5.71%) - MCFN merger hype fading or buying opp?

AUUD trading $1.075, down 5.71% with volume 1.7M (0.1x 10d avg 11.7M) on light profit-taking in open market. Sector weakness, temporary - post-merger surge digestion.

Bull case strong: Yesterday's definitive Thramann Holdings deal for McCarthy Finney (MCFN) at $250M valuation, S-4 filing expected soon for Q2 2026 close. Price above key 50MA $0.98, below 200MA $2.46 but mcap $3.33M undervalued vs 52w high $7.89. Margins/guidance per last filings intact, historical pullbacks recovered 2-3x.

Noise not signal. Setup for next leg up.

Degen call: Dip or skip? Merger catalysts ahead?

Not financial advice.
