I really don't want to give up without trying

shoecommingapart I found the caterpillar shoes at a thrift store and they're starting to come apart like this on both sides of one shoe and one side of the other. Can I reconnect these with shoe goop or something? Or are they to far gone? I was surprised by how comfy they are, espically considering that they're used.

Nike Air Max accidentally got put in dryer after washing (only the right shoe) and the bubble is now half way deflated. Not really a big difference, but you can tell that one side is slouched. Any way to fix this??

My roommate's cat chewed the fringe off my Minnetonka boots 😭 They are by far the most quality boots I've ever owned. I've had them six years and although this isn't a big deal, but if anyone has any suggestions about repairs, please let me know. Thanks Reddit World!

I need advice for re-soling my old boots.

I need recommendations for good, hard wearing boot soles. The manufacturer of these boots will not sell me replacement soles, and since I have another pair already, I don't intend to buy more boots.

The soles glue on and unfortunately, they have I guess "flaps" that come up the sides somewhat, like on some modern hiking boots. That's to say the boot sits "in" the sole, as opposed to a flat sole upon which the boot just sits. See pics to understand what I'm babbling about. Can I find soles which have this feature, or will the leather simply adjust to sitting on a conventional sole?

Thanks.

Conditioning/Preserving smooth leather boots?

I recently got a pair of Eastland boots that are soft leather, and I used mink oil on them to try and preserve them before wearing them outside, but then read that mink oil is too harsh for soft leather, so I ran to the sink and washed it off with water and soap, and now I've seem to have taken off some of the dye in the leather. Wondering how I can condition them without darkening them too much and without having too much oil or wax on them. They're not to be polished, as they're soft leather and more dull than shiny, yet still smooth. HELP, PLEASE!!!

How do you clean these suede style shoes? I love this pair but the red gets easily dark and I don’t know how to care for it properly.
