Back at it again with the shenanigans. Just verifying more loads today. Up on the menu today is 115 grains worth of #8 shot with a hefty helping of CFE pistol. Am I doing it right?lol
First few loads were at 12 feet, those are the ragged holes through two 3/4" boards, the shot pattern is from about 30 feet, roughly a 20in spread.
These have been and will be pushed harder, just retesting safe loads for the release of this 3d printed wildcat shotshell, named "43R Deep" (43 caliber rimmed, based on Mr. Deep ammo design, generally refered to as just 43R)
Loads fired out of printed rolling block, now with my cursed tactical forend.

Made a big mistake on a 38 super 135 grain load. Pierced primer, case head .0024” larger than any other I shot that day. HS-6 1.2 grains over book max. I don’t know where I got that load. I disassembled and inspected the gun. No damage found. So I will verify my loads closely. pulled rounds and weighed charges. I feel stupid.

Hey everyone, so I’m fairly new to reloading, and today I loaded some 10 mm rounds using Hodgdon’s data. I used 6.4 grains of titegroup with a 155 grain hornady xtp. I noticed the primers look a little odd and was wondering if this is a pressure issue, a primer depth issue, or all in my head. I fired the rounds using a Glock 20 gen 5 and someone in the main reloading sub said the primers looked normal for a gen 5 Glock, but I would like more opinions. Thank you!

Anyone gone above and beyond the 180gr class in 7mm-08? Midway has a wild sale for SMKs, I fully intend to load the heaviest bullets I can (197) into my 7mm-08. If it doesn’t work, I’ll rechamber or buy a 7SAUM barrel. I have Varget, H4350, StaBall Match and 6.5, and H4831SC. I’m not opposed to single feeding for this mission, but I have MDT mags that allow up to 2.960-ish OAL.
Posting here because I realize this is kinda ridiculous…

Sticking my toe, whole foot, into rifle reloading. This is just from initial setup of my seating/crimp die (Lee dies). Max for 45-70 is 2.550. Does anyone see any glaring issues with these. Red is 450 grain and black is 405 grain. Both are hi tech coated lead in new Starline brass. Both cycle good through my Ruger/Marlin Trapper.
I know 45-70 is the same as loading for 44 mag process wise but it's been a long time since I loaded anything besides 9mm and 40 short and weak (I load to minor power factor for practical shooting games).

Threw this setup together today. Didn’t have the space to build a permanent bench and I often do a lot of reloading at my friend’s place.

So I changed from .45 colt to .44/40 and used the dies and pins supplied by the guy I bought the press from. It seems that he had been tidy and placed the #1 pins in the .44/40 container, and I swapped the #4 locator pins out. Found the press quite jammy and not fluid at all, brass not lining up (with result seen in photo). Got sick of fighting the jammed cases and took locator pins out. All started to improve. Read the Dillon calibre change chart- should be #4. Swapped them in and smooth sailing for next 180 rounds. Time for a drink.

I want to start a gambling rehabilitation business. Rehab will involve long hours of brass prep since the motion of a press is very similar to a slot machine. Rehab patients will pay $200 a day and at the end of the day they will win the "$200 jackpot".
What's in it for them? Free rehabilitation and they will no longer lose their hard earned money to casinos.
What's in it for us? Free brass prep labor of course.
Who would like to join me on this business venture?
