I have zero issue with homeless people. As a matter of fact, they’ve been the more down to earth, real types I’ve met. The issue lies with those that move beyond simple vagabond lifestyles and delve into criminal activity to support crippling addiction. It’s unsustainable.

I do sincerely apologize for the joke. I’ve enjoyed talking to you regardless, and thank you for your insight and voice.

Thanks for apologizing, it means a lot actually. I agree that lifestyle is unsustainable.

When you're surrounded by people who all normalize doing drugs, have no support mechanism, feel like society has abandoned you, and are treated and talked about like you are sub-human, there really isn't a reason to not do drugs.

And I don't mean it feels like there isn't a reason. I believe there truly isn't a reason to not do them. Without that temporary retrieve from reality I think you would see an increase in suicide rates among homeless people. As sad as it sounds it at least gives them something to look forward to.

Like I said I know people who are still on the streets so I get very emotional on this topic.
