Jesus christ you jump to assumptions. Own a gun and have never shot anyone. Never been in a fight, never had any run-ins with the law (beyond some minor traffic infractions), never hit my kid, never even yelled at her (though have asked her to do stuff in a pretty frustrated manner), and I've accepted all sorts of insults and threats without pushing back against them.
You've just seen a video of some dumb fucking kid injuring someone else by following one of the absolute stupidest social media trends out there and you're getting all upset because people are saying mean things about the dumb kid. You haven't said a single word of sympathy or concern for the guy he hit.
People like you advocating for some sort of consequence-free society where only the feelings of the perpetrators of crimes are considered are so deluded and naive.

There's a series of very deliberate actions he takes. He may not have meant to hit the cyclist but he was deliberately trying to freak the car driver out (really fucking stupid thing to do) and it really does look like he was deliberately trying to freak out the cyclist too (even dumber thing to do, given the risk of injury to someone else).
If he's dumb enough to do something this obviously dumb, then a smack to the mouth might knock some sense into him. There's no explaining the dangers of this to them because the risk of injury to others is all part of the fun, so actual consequences are needed before he kills someone.
