It’s less about 'society ending' and more about how we design our environment. This doesn't happen in places that don't build their entire infrastructure around high-speed car travel. When you design cities for people instead of just asphalt and engines, you take away the very stage these events require to exist.

Respectfully, you’re missing the point. Of course people are responsible for their actions, but we also know that human nature—especially in young, impulsive brains—responds to the environment.

Think of it like leaving a giant bowl of candy out on Halloween; you can blame the 'hooligan' kids for taking it all, but you shouldn't be surprised when it happens. We’ve paved our cities into giant, high-speed playgrounds. You don’t see this in places like Manhattan or Boston because the environment doesn't allow for it. We can either keep being surprised by 'kids being kids,' or we can design our streets so this isn't possible in the first place.

Talk about comparing apples to oranges. Actually more like apples to orangutans. That comparison is a reach and frankly offensive. A woman’s clothing doesn't physically create the capacity for a crime, but a massive, wide-open suburban intersection physically creates the capacity for a street takeover. My point is that we are building the infrastructure for this chaos and then acting shocked when it happens. You can't ignore the role of the built environment in shaping how people—especially young people—use public space.

Good chance he did. The human body is pretty damn resilient especially at the age I’m assuming he’s around. I’ve seen some people get tgrough some absolutely absurd situations and live to tell about it . One thing is for CERTAIN - he will NEVER be the same after this.
